G’day, all!
Omgosh, @GoJays! An outlet in a sink?! I think one also must check if the contractor has any brain at all! Lol!
With our 'lovely dairy farmers now adding LARD to the cows' feed, the butter stays hard AT room temperature!!
Nothing much going on here….I’m so grateful my Cricut addresses our Christmas card envelopes for me! My hand tends to tremble just enough to make my penmanship wonky. It also printed on the inside, all I had to do was sign them.
2 weeks to Christmas. And not a sign of it in the house….rather sad, actually, but….no decorations means no decorations to pack up after Christmas! There’s just the sitting and waiting impatiently for the snow to die!
Enjoy the day, everyone!Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Dec 9th, 2022 at 07:50 PM.

That is my next chore to tackle....Christmas cards. only a select few get them because, well, uh.....I dunno, we just stopped sending as many out years ago and then that became the norm. Well also so many relatives are no longer with us and many of THOSE precious souls are the ones who would have loved and appreciated a hand addressed and mailed card.
One Aunt in particular had THE best handwriting of anyone I knew. I adored her no nonsense approach to life, she passed back in 2004 but saw 91 years. She could have easily been a school teacher back in her day and she so wanted to be that but life handed her a raw deal when her mother left the home and all 8 kids, SHE was now chosen to raise 5 of her younger siblings alone weeks at a stretch while the Dad worked miles from home. Whenever I have a pity party for one I reflect on her life and snap myself out of it!
Anyways, I had better get going on those cards, they won't write themselves.

Good morning everyone
Happy Saturday
@Lynn49 We decided as a family that there will not be putting up a Christmas tree this year. I am not sure if my DDs Will decorated the house .
Still didn’t start my baking either I am not in the Christmas sprit . Guess it will be a very simple Christmas around my house . We are invited for the day at my DH sister house .
Have a great Saturday all

Good morning!
Off to dinner at friends’ home this evening; they just booked the same resort we’ll all be at in 2 weeks, but in
January. Haven’t seen them since our campground closed for the season.
@walkonby , our card list has shrunk, also…..aunts, uncles gone, others decided to just send e-cards which I find meh…..an email touching base would mean more than tossing an e-cards at us. Sign of the times, I guess, although in my Cricut FB group cards are still a big deal for various occasions. It’s nice to see.
Aw, @flemeth , low Christmas spirit this year? There are so many expectations on us to create “that Christmas experience” our families hope to have every year (along with the Easter, Thanksgiving etc) , it can seem like just another mountain we have to climb. Simplifying can be a breath of fresh air…..sometimes it’s all we want and certainly need. Enjoy the season whatever way you choose to celebrate it.
Enjoy a restful Saturday, everyone!

Just a brief pop in for me but I always appreciate reading all the posts, thanks gang!
A number of years ago I busted my right shoulder really well and I've been able to deal with it until now.
Unfortunately the pain is quite different from my "usual" pain and so I'm not used to it so don't have any coping strategies yet.
In the meantime I bide my time, but hey it could always be worse.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend my friends!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

@flemeth , don't feel bad. If it wasn't for my kids, I wouldn't have had Christmas anything for years now. I find it all to be such a hassle when you're just not in the mood for it, and it just seems to get a little bit worse every year for me. I just don't care anymore
