@Skippy I hate liking that post . I’m sorry you’re not only in pain but now having to deal with a new and worse pain. I really hope you can find some relief somehow. Hugs

Thank you friends for the encouragement.Said pain only remained on Saturday which was just as well as yesterday we had our extended family Christmas. It was great being able to celebrate together after such a long time! My take away is that everyone looked older, some greyer which leads me to believe I may be also!
No worries as I don't always act my age which works sometimes and other times not as well!
Whatever you're up to this week may you enjoy it! Blessings my friends!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Good morning!!
Gathering 'stuff' for our trip at Christmas, gearing up for a nice hot sunny beach instead of snow.
@Skippy , how wonderful that you had your extended family's Christmas dinner and you felt well enough to enjoy it! We'll do the same with our wee family here before we fly away next week, primarily for our GS's sake, he's 14 after-all, so he'll get some presents from Santa. As long as Amazon delivers one of them here before then!! It was supposed to arrive yesterday....fingers crossed!!
Okay!! On with the day, hope you're all enjoying this sunny day!!

Well... I am getting over what seemed to be a little bout of COVID unfortunately. I had a cold for the past little while, then last Thursday, I was going to work, nearly over my cold, then tested positive for COVID at my work (We test twice a week and still wear masks). So I have been off from both my jobs since Thursday and started to go stir crazy today.
But it seems that from Community Care, I will be paid for ALL the days I miss from COVID, and at Superstore, I *SHOULD* be getting paid for at least 3 of the 4 shifts that I missed having tested positive for COVID. So I shouldn't be missing too much pay despite being off for what feels like an eternity.
It wasn't too bad at least, VERY mild symptoms. Only a cough, stuffy nose, a lack of appetite, and I was REALLY tired (I have slept for about 50+hrs since Thursday give or take)
Now... I am waiting until I can go back to work at Community Care, that'll likely be Wednesday (Have to test negative two days in a row), and back to the Superstore tomorrow night!
AND I can NOT WAIT until this weekend, I'll be heading up to Newmarket to see my friend again. It feels like it has been forever, but we have been talking a lot since he found out I tested positive for COVID. So it will be SO nice to see him again!!

I was thrilled to be able to pick up one of DH's very special b'day gifts from the Post Office today. Annoyed as I was on Sunday when they dropped the card at the door
while I was napping in the basement, it all went away when I saw the quality of the 4 items of Argos 2022 Grey Cup Championship hoodie, T-shirt, Mug and banner!
He's gonna love this on Saturday at the party!!

A new twist on an old game???
Well I'd never heard of this but......our DD's office party is today, and everyone was asked to bring a toy.
Fair enough, been done before, right? Pass the gifts, yadda yadda...but!!!
First of all they drew names (both Sudbury and the Sault offices).
But the twist is this: they had to buy a TOY that resembled that person and all the toys will be given to a local charity!!!!
HOW FUN IS THAT?!!
Seriously, no one needs another mug or wine glass, right?
Yesterday, the guy organizing it took pictures of each toy in her office, another person did that for the Sault office, and they had to match the toy to the person, as a fun pre-amble to today's reveal!!
LOVE this idea for offices and large groups!!!
OMGOsh, @GoJays , that "bam six geese" gave Hubby and I such laughs this morning! Thank you, I'll be passing that one along!
@walkonby , your Hubby will love those gifts for his birthday...you sure do spoil your family....like we're so different, eh? Hahahaha!!!
A free day today, so more sorting and pre-packing to do just to make sure we have everything....esp our meds.
Enjoy another beautiful sunny day, everyone!!!
