Had a good giggle with GS this morning...we were sitting here in the livingroom and facing east, it suddenly got light out behind the blind's wide slats! Just like that! I said something like, "Wow! It just got bright out all of a sudden!" He said, "Baba, that's the sun that just came out, look!" And he opened the blind for me.... "See! That's how it happens...I love seeing that happen." Hahaha.....explains why he's up at 6:30 every morning.

Yes, sunshine here today, but big rains overnight, which is now hitting you southerners this morning, and with the "weatherbomb" up there, all our temps will drop like stones this evening.

Well....time for another coffee...I'm almost awake!

Got in about an hour ago. Came by ambulance, met by firefighters who carried me in (sorry Avon, they were all mine!).

I will do more explaining later, I just need to chillax a bit and decompress.

Going down to 0 tonight. Thanked all my tender flowers for making my summer beautiful, then removed them to the compost pile. Did way too much today and my feet and back are killing me. TV is still on the Fritz. But, that's ok-I would have liked to have been watching the new fall previews but can't do everything.

Sooooo glad to see you are home, Natalka! It must feel very good!! Now don't go crazy and think you can hop right into a pre-illness routine of cooking and baking and running around. To everything there is a season....and this is still your recouping season. Happy recouping season. Your spirits must be just lifting you right out of bed!

I got a little shopping done tonight before running around to pick up my BrotherR and another person in our choir. The other person lives quite far away but she has no other means of transport except spending over an hour on the bus. I kind of wished that someone else would have volunteered to take them home tonight- but the other choir member who sometimes does that wasn't there.

The Keg-Tapping to begin Oktoberfest is tomorrow at noon. BrotherR says he's going to walk down to see it. I hope he remembers hat and mitts. Then the craziness begins!

Well, my eyes are closing.

@Lynn49 -when do DD and SIL get home? Have you heard from them since they have been away?
I bet DGS will be happy to see them!

A good chilly morning, everyone! Temp dropped overnight to 2 !

@avoncallingu , the kids should land at 6pm this evening, so we're taking DGS out for dinner then to their home for their arrival. Yes, we've been in touch quite a bit...she'll take a pic on a golfcourse and text me that she's sending it, (temps in the 90s!), pics off their balcony way up over the 7 swimming pools, lol...general chatting pre or post dinners, 2 phone calls, lol...it's like they were never away! We really miss each other when we're separated. When we came home from our short getaway she kept saying how much she missed me. I'd better hang around for a long time, yet!
That lady made the choice to bus to and from choir practice, or she and her friend agreed to share a ride....once is fine, but Lady......once! (I know you...!) You're not everyone's keeper and your health is just as important as hers. How's your toe lately??

I can sympathize with you, @flemeth ....when we're so close to our girls it feels as if a part of us is missing when they're away. We're so blessed....

@Natalka , take it easy, no overdoing the Thanksgiving prep-work for anyone! You all deserve a relaxing weekend, you've all been through so much, with more recovery in the works. Ok?
