Hello folks!
I am relaxing in my room - the drive was easy and uneventful. I forgot that it is Family Day and so could not return my coat to the Bay today. The only one close is in St. Catharines. There IS an outlet mall that is pretty close though.
I swear my dh would have been "clucking" his head off.... one night away-takes 7 bags!- not suitcases- but certainly things to carry in.
Tootie was pretty uncomfortable on our way down to Cambridge. She kept wimpering. But the roads are so cut up and bumpy! I had included some baby aspirin and asked my friend to give her one right away. She stood pretty firmly between me and the door but my friend lured her in and I took off right away.
So .. Outlet Mall or Casino? Who votes for which?
Or stay in and watch TV? I will drive down by the falls and see the spectacular display that Mother Nature puts on.
Maybe shop at Table Rock Center. I do love Niagara Falls!
I need those votes! - Casino ( There are 2, of course! Or Outlet Mall?)
Take care, folks!

What a lovely afternoon I had!
Milan came to see me at 1 p.m., and not long after we got things set up so he could be my guide/guard? for walking.
The nurse had to get the wheelchair from where it is stored on the ward, then she and an aide were not going to leave, so they were there on all sides of me when I made the transfer to wheelchair from the bed. I think then she saw I knew my limits, was safe and in good hands with my son, so they left the room. So I did three walks down the longest part of the room with Milan guiding the wheelchair behind him. I didn't want to go into the hallway, it's always so busy, so we would just back up after each walk.
Then I just stayed in the chair for a bit as we visited, but before I got too tuckered out, I had to use those primed up legs to get me back into bed. It's always harder at the end!
Well, it's the first time he has seen me walk since I was at home, and thought it was quite something.
He got his school certificates, one for completing the apprenticeship program, the other for completing his journeyman's - and getting his red seal. There really IS a red seal on his diplomas, and on his wallet cards as well.
He ended up staying here until around 5 I think it was, he had gone to Timmie's to get us treats. It's been forever since I had a yeast doughnut; even though it was just from there, it tasted great.
I am pretty tuckered out, will just take it easy this evening. My right knee is going all Rice Krispies on me.
Have a great evening, everyone!

Just dropping in to say, g'night.. @Natalka , you're making so much progress. It does take legs quite a while to go from being imobile for so long to simply standing, let alone walking...ask me how I know, hahaha!! It really IS one step at a time, one more than yesterday...keep up the great work, and congratulations to Milan!
@avoncallingu , bet you know what I'd vote for...the he** with casinos!Glad you made it there safely and that Tootie is snuggled in somewhere. Um....bags, not luggage??!!! Hahahaha!!! How many for an over-night?! You are totally off your rocker, my Friend!!
I hope those pencil-pushers don't faint from fright seeing you alive!!! How surprised they'll be!
Jenny goes in for her teeth cleaning tomorrow, and to have that little cyst removed; it's so small now compared to the loonie size it was before. It was hard to even find it earlier today. I'm always scared for pups that go under anesthesia...it can be so dangerous for them, and yes, you can put money on it that I'll be calling at 1pm to find out how she is and when I can bring my wee baby home....
Good night, everyone, sweetest dreams!!

@Lynn49 Sure hope all goes well with Jenny tomorrow.
I just got all my meds, will wait about a half hour til they kick in, and I am hoping for a great sleep.
New nurse on tonight, and he hadn't worked this ward before. He is very kind and, ahem, really handsome. Well, it's in my meds notes that one Dilaudid, the long release one is scheduled, the other regular one is for when I ask for it. For example, it's scheduled for early morning meds, but if I am doing physio at 11, i can get the normal, fast acting one, a half hour before.
Anyway, Sam the nurse brought me both. At night I usually just take the long acting one. So I told him, but I know what would happen, the pill would just be chucked - this had happened to me once before. I asked him if I took both, would I have a very, very good sleep? He could not guarantee that.
Note, not to worry, I am on the lowest dose possible.
Good night all, sweet dreams!

Good morning!
All dressed ready to take sweet Jenny to the vet at 8:45, poor muffin. Thank you, @flemeth , @Natalka , I think she's in excellent hands, but I can't wait to have her home again. It's dang cold out there this morning...again, the almanac is correct, unfortunately.
So, enjoy your day, everyone!

Good morning, folks! Ah, Jenny, I am sending gentle hugs your way.
I slept in a bit after having a bit of a restless night. So, up and at 'em!
I think I will get the cart to load up all these things when I leave.
Looks like good weather today but a threat of some more freezing rain tomorrow. Oh well, my vet is just across the road.
Take care, friends!
