poor sweet Vader. @Natalka you sure did not need emotional pain to outweigh your physical pain.
My heart is crushed for you. Take care, hug Milan for all of us as well. Did I remember that right? Was Vader DS kitty or was it your other cat?

The not as critical to me IIHF bronze medal game is on right now, ( Finland and Russia tied 1-1 )....I MUST stay awake for the important Gold medal game that Canada and USA face off in later on.

Oh, @Natalka...I'm so truly sorry to hear of Vader's passing. Our hearts just break when we lose one of our pets, so many of us have gone through that and know exactly how you're feeling and we share your sadness. You gave Vader such a loving home, lots of snuggles and kisses, she was so content to be with you. So terribly sorry......

@walkonby, that's what you should be doing every day!! Staying put! We're up to 23 here from 8 so yay, Christmas! Not. But you all down there...I'd be scared to death walking around out there! Stay home, Missy!!

In other nail biting news, the run-off election in Georgia for those precious 2 Senate seats could actually be won by the DEMS!!
Both Dem candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have leads over the GOP candidates.
Too early to call. Results take FOREVER to be finalized because Trump's out looking under rocks for discarded votes!

Hi everyone!

Too bad Canada didn't get the gold...

Home care nurse was here around 8:30 - she wasn't impressed by how tightly the previous nurse had put on my leg bandages. Well, I knew - they hurt like hell and were digging into my skin several inches from the top. I couldn't stand it, so a few days ago I cut into them, down a few inches from the top. It felt better, but not great. Then we saw what that skin looked like when the nurse cut them all the way off, do raw and so painful when she washed my legs. There are still patches of dryness, so she cleared those off.
Darned skin is just so darned delicate; that's what I get for being the princess (and the pea LOL).

Thanks to those of you leaving comments about Vader. @walkonby - it was Taffy, Vader's mom, who Milan was closest to - not that we all didn't love her. They always said Vader was my puppy dog! I just miss her so very much - keep thinking she will just come saunter in the room and she would come on the bed to snuggle and get a huge tummy rub! Sigh....

@Natalka , I felt your pain regarding your leg being so tightly bandaged.

When I had my first cast put on, toes to hip...pink, quite attractive, lol...it was put on 3 days after the surgery, I was still in the hospital, then sent home, thankfully. However after a few hours at home, still afternoon, I felt it was pushing on the front of my ankle. Not pain, but like cutting into it, since my foot had been flexed. Well, by the evening I was beside myself with that discomfort...I just knew something was wrong. I felt like it was falling asleep. Off we went to emerg. Naturally my complaints were met with almost rolled eyes...she's never had a cast before...blah, blah. I told them to call my surgeon and get this thing off me! They did and you wouldn't believe the red dent into the top of my foot on my ankle!! Ohhhh...well, then, I guess I was right, huh?! They couldn't do anything more that night so my surgeon told them to find a room for me for the night. They did. Next morning I was re-cast with a ton of soft wrappings around my leg. I was fine after that.

So! Just to show you what squeaky wheels can do....it works. If you ever feel anything is wrong, tell someone. With the delicate condition of your legs, that tightness exacerbated the blood flow that's already compromised. Sure glad you took the scissors to it, I'd have done the same with my cast.
Dammit, that's just terrible of that nurse to be so incompetent. I'd request she not be allowed to treat you again.
