Happy Chewsday to you all!
We continue to have rain, nice and gentle and steady. Over the last two days, two inches I think and today will be the last day.
Temp was weird yesterday, it was 10 first thing in the morning and that number stayed all day until about two this morning, when it started dropping a degree or so - it will go to -3 overnight.
Tomorrow will be 14, hopefully the sun will peek out!
Worldwide, gee the crap in Ethiopia with the Tigray people, hoping the ceasefire holds with Israel and Palestine - then the very very odd situation with Belorussia - fiction couldn't be any stranger than the crap that happened there!
I was up all night, and had to stop listening to the radio at some points.
Nothing new, just our regular aches and pains. Gosh, I really get sick of crying so much at times...
Anyway, a new day - I remain ever the optimist.
Hope you each have a good day!

Oh, @avoncallingu , as difficult as your decision is, you know that Tootie has given you everything she can give. You rescued her from a horrible circumstance as a puppy machine, gave her so much love and care in her later years but she's tired now, her systems are shutting down and as dogs do, likely hiding herself when she's in pain.
Releasing her is the kindest thing you can do for her even as it breaks your heart.
Sending prayers and light.
@Natalka , our DD is so concerned for the Tigray area...that's where she commissioned a well that was drilled there for a community. We pray it's not destroyed.
Our almost 13-yr old Grandson received his Physer vaccination today....and btw...how do they become teenagers so fast?! 😥 He's such a good-hearted, kind and helpful guy....growing into a fine young man.
Well, my fibro is really getting me down...there's just too much piling on top of each other, overlapping...today is simply a recliner, TV day. Nothing more. Dammit.
I use my walker now at camp and the support from campers is so heartwarming and supportive even as I loathe the thing. It makes me feel old and I'm only 71!! 😏
I hope you're all having a pleasant day....I can't type anymore.Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, May 25th, 2021 at 03:15 PM.

Hello all! We have turned our A/C on, then off, then on again, then off again. Make up your mind Mother Nature!
Despite my griping I am grateful to have the option of central air. Yesterday we discovered the vehicle A/C is not up to par, which makes me think how many $$$$ it will cost us to get it refilled, or whatever they do to it??.
Had a slice of chocolate swirl cheesecake for lunch, seemed like the right choice at the time, now I am rethinking that choice.
Someone ( in another thread ) posted asking when will be allowed to go in the stores and get the non essentials that we currently are roped off from?
I was going to answer ( sarcastically ) the Twelfth Of Never, but that reminded me how much I adored Donny Osmond, which then saw me You Tube the song....sniff, sniff.
And then once I looked at one adorable comment from the video ( this 3 yr old girl used to call him Dosny Almond!! ) I laughed and laughed forgetting all about when the stores will let us buy non essential things.
Distraction can sometimes help.Last edited by walkonby; Wed, May 26th, 2021 at 12:29 PM.

@GoJays I resisted laughing too hard till I read the part about the kazoo!! Brilliant!
Seems warm in here, A/C is on but I may have become acclimatized to the temperature.
A/C.... a gateway drug, the cooler you make it the MORE you want it even cooler! I better check with DH before I start messing with " his " thermostat.
Happy Thirsty Thursday all!

@walkonby , you, me and a thermostat! Last night I set the air conditioner to 70 and we slipped into bed. A half hour later, up I get, into the hallway, and set it to 69. I get back into bed with Hubby chuckling as we both likely recall that great TV ad years ago where that gal, wearing pjs and her Hubby's boots, stomps through the snow to turn the air conditioner on again. As long as the air is blowing, I'm comfy....This morning our DD called and said it was 1 degree when she went for her 5k walk. Soooooo...it didn't click on through the night, but that was fine. ☺
Not much going on, we may leave for camp today, but likely tomorrow...
Enjoy the sunshine, everyone, should be a nice few days!

Love this, esp when I see shops and stores with a bowl of water out for dogs.
It doesn't take much to be kind....

@avoncallingu I'm so sorry to read about your doggie and it's health problems. What a difficult time for both of you. They're just like family and sometimes a lot nicer. God bless you for all that you have done for your companion. I will be praying for you during this difficult time.
Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.
