I've heard of some folks keeping the Xmas spirit alive by keeping a tree up the entire year.

Good morning. What bipolar weather we have here! Yesterday was 18 and sunny (almost too hot for my run) and today dreary and rainy and cold (in comparison) .

My mom has a dr appointment in the city so Dh and I are going to secretly clean their place. Unfortunately her vision is becoming very limited and while she tries to do it she just can’t see well enough to get it done completely so we will do it. I try to not to make her feel like she can’t do it so secretly we will do it.

Then I have some cleaning here to do. Just some laundry and a bit of pantry organizing. Pretty chill day here.

    Have a great Monday everyone.

@harbie I felt tears welling up when I read how you and DH are " secretly " cleaning your Mom's place up. Not telling her about it to spare her feelings is about the sweetest act imaginable. ( uh oh....the tears are here. ) @Newfiescreech your artistic crafty flair wrt those beautiful Christmas trees is impressive. I've never seen anything like those before.

These crazy up and down temperatures saw a friend of mine ( well it was her DH who did it actually ) experience frozen pipes!
On one of those beautiful sunny days her DH had turned on the water tap for the garden hose outside to wash his vehicle in the driveway.
Yup......we all can guess what happened. He forgot to turn it back off and the pipes froze apparently.

Today was another one of those CCC-colder days, I am no longer a fan. I had a hygienist appt bright and early and wore my gloves while driving over there. Hands would NOT warm up.

Nearly time for my lunch. Soup again! I seem to immersed in a soup cycle. So many kinds to make, so little time.

@walkonby @Skippy my mom is such a sweetheart but she likes to argue (that’s where I get it ) so it’s partly because I just don’t want to listen to her say no .

Btw she just called and said “ who gave you permission to enter our place when we’re not home? ( said in a joking voice) She was over the moon happy even though she kept apologizing for it being so bad so I just told her tomorrow I’d be going out for a run/walk and “if anyone wanted to secretly my place I could just leave my keys . I think I’m on my own with that one. After 4 hours cleaning and late lunch I think we will head out for some fresh air and go for a walk before the rain.

I'm sure that there is a technical reason, but why bother when I can just download the image and rotate it with Windows Picture Viewer and then re-save.
