I put that Gf bread mix into the bread maker around 12:30 a.m. and when i was getting ready for work this a.m. it was smelling so good in the kitchen! Took all the stuff in to make toasted tomato sammies for my lunch with Vegenaise! I even had another one for dinner around 5:30 !

I made dry garlic ribs, plain fried rice and green beans. These beans are from the store because there wasn't enough of mine for a meal...I can't believe I picked beans from my garden in October.

Since I work nights, in the morning I often have my dinner when I get home from work. This morning will be janes chicken strips, mixed veg and mashed potatoes. Yes at 7.30am I will take some actual potatoes, boil them and mash them, lol. I usually try to stay up till at least 10.30am after that..

Campbell's Creamy Cheesy Chicken Casserole! I was feeling lazy so this was perfect served along side a salad.
10 minute prep time, 45 minutes in the mini oven. It was really yummy and cost less than $7 with left overs.
I used the Maple Leaf Prime chicken breasts that were on sale at Food Basics this week. I had the $2 off coupon, so $3 for chicken!

Loocie is heading out for lunch & since I get to choose,
I'm opting for a decent pizza to chase away my blues,
I'm too tired for my own liking so it's best that I get out,
Sometimes a change in scenery is what it is all about,
I've told you all before about my pizza proclivities,
& I like to attend pizzeria festivites,
So since the lunch hour is now in our midst,
It is time to do the pizza twist,
I'll be back in a while with a review,
So here's best wishes from me to you!
p.s. A previous pizza poem to prove that when the craving hits, I must go for it!
Lunch is being served in the Smart Canuck Cafe,
Did you know that you can have pizza at any time of day?
Some people like it gooey & some people like it cheesy,
You can customize your pizza, it is really that easy,
Some people like pizza on the meaty side,
& some like tomatoes that are sun dried,
Some like peppers & some people like ham,
& I guess there are even some who like it with spam,
Some people like onions & a crispy crust,
& throw on extra garlic if you feel you must,
Pineapple, mushrooms, anchovies, salami,
It's your very own pizza, so add some pastrami,
I never thought pizza could be comfort food,
But I must say that I'm in a pizza kind of mood!

Mmmm, beets...some people would run away from your supper (snicker) but it wouldn't be me.
janetta,
I don't really follow a recipe for the ribs...it's very simple: season pork back ribs with s&p, dried thyme, a bit of seasoning salt. Dust with flour and shallow fry in about an inch of oil (I use a cast iron pan) until golden brown. Do them in batches so they brown properly and keep the ready ones in the oven on warm. When they are all done, drain the fat, and put them back into a large skillet on medium. Add some fresh crushed garlic (I used to add the garlic to the pan first, but the garlic sometimes got burned). Shake the pan around a bit to redistribute the garlic and give the whole thing a splash of soy sauce. That's pretty much it. If you cut them into single rib pieces, they will cook more quickly.
