What a coincidence! I am having homemade perogies AND I have no idea how to spell that either!!!

Perogies were given to me by old lady across the street who's grandkids could not make it to her house last night due to ice on highway... lucky me, i get the spoils! ahyahoo!

Tonight I got home late but decided to cook anyway because I had a craving. Salmon fillet with peas and boiled perogies (yes that is how they are spelled and it must be perogie night since we are all eating them LOL). Dessert was timbits but I'm not admitting that I ate them...
I didn't want to eat a lot though because I have an industry event to go to tonight and there will be food! Too late since I already ate too much so I just hope I feel hungry around 10pm tonight when I go so I can sample and enjoy the food!

hmmm pirogies, I haven't made any of those in a while, thanks for the idea guy's I'm sure dh would love some. Last night was nothing fancy (I've really not been feeling like cooking much of anything lately), did some baked potatoes, pork chops and zucchini and asparagus all on the bbq. Easy clean up for dh and it was quick. I think tonight I'll make him a roast (also on the bbq) then if it's not to hot tomorrow I'll do a few batches of pirogues, I'll have some left over roast beef and I'll do extra mashed potatoes tonight.

I get the super assorted bags from no frills for like 2.97...There are two bags of cheddar and onion, a pag of potato and onion, and a bag of potato and bacon. Great for a quick side and you can either boil them or fry them if you have more time. I usually just boil them but I love doing them fried for lunch.

I will often boil or boil then fry..But usually I will just take them frozen and through right into the pan with a bit of margarine with lid on and keep tossing them till they're nice and crispy and done, usually about 6-7 mins.

Four dishes from the frozen Wong Wing lineup.Lemon chicken, General Tao chicken, fried rice and beef and broccoli. Yes, salt-laden but protein rich meal!
I'm amazed at you home cooks with creative talents and varied menus. Sadly, I'm not much of a perogy fan because I have an on/off affection for pasta type textures nowadays.

@vesper-any chance that your neighbour is trying to sweeten you up for matchmaking to someone she thinks is right for you? Hope you are able to do a good turn for the nice meal you received.

Tonight was McDonald's. Mom had to work and I went on spring cleaning mission so mom picked up something McDonald's on her way home. Not our best dinner but mom was cranky (her ear is still bugging her and wow she is cranky) and I was exhausted and still cleaning.

Tomorrow night I am off to Dad's for his bday dinner. Not sure what we are having, but mom just realized I won't be home for dinner which means she is on her own. Will see how she is feeling if she isn't feeling well still I might pick her up something on my way home as long as I do't stay too late.
