So many of you are such busy bees!
Lola, I've never heard of anyone doing that! It's just not something I would have ever done, no matter how busy I was...
Milan even came with me when I went to photochemotherapy appointments when he was four.
For those of you not feeling so great, hoping things improve for you!
I've been procrastinating doing taxes, now I'm way behind since my back was hurt.
But wow, I'm totally impressed with the CRA - I had a question about a missing form, and I was phoning - getting ready to just put it on speaker and have a long wait - but someone answered right away, and my question was answered. Awesome!
Our own returns are easy, but this year our son's is more complicated, with education amounts - last year was fine, but this year has added on a transfer of unused credits, plus a SK graduate retention program to figure out.
I ain't no accountant, but I usually figure things out = just not this late in the game, though!

Wow, I'm tired just reading all the stuff you guys have been up to today! I've done a whole lotta nothing LOL. Puppy goes out every few hours, and I've hung up a few loads of laundry... almost caught up on all the winter stuff (blankets, snowpants, sweaters, etc.) so I can store it all. Other than that it's been kind of a chill day

My days seem to be inverted to most people I know. My kids get up early and go to bed early so I live by their schedule. They go to bed by 6:30pm (I'm trying to push it back to 7pm slowly since it's almost Summer) so after that I'm stuck at home. lol
Just got back from Value Village and I think they need to shake their heads. Now I know why I dont shop there. I spent just under $45 this morning on 9 T-Shirts for DS so I thought I'd check out VV and see if I could pick up some cheap play T's. They were all between $3.99 and $4.99!!! Seriously???? On average I spent $4.90 including tax on NEW T's, why would I pay almost if not more for used ones???
FYI: Old Navy has everything 30% off today! Got some T's for $3.94 - 30% and they are super cute! Worth checking out today if you need new clothes.

I know it wasn't meant to be judgemental but it sounded like it....
I'm actually pretty sensitive to such comments because I seem to get them a lot.
Other people have their DH's to help, even with little things. I unfortunately do not. So, yeah I need help. And I would rather my kids in a CENTRE BASED Daycare where they LEARN than be watched by a babysitter. I can't exactly take a 2 year old to a dentist appointment, pap, school field trips or to DD's speech therapy appointments.
Beyond that, our doctor recommended we put DD into a centre based daycare because of speech delays, so we did. 2 days a week from 9-3:30/4pm. It was AMAZING! She really thrived being around other kids her age. So we decided to do the same with DS.
It works for us.

Yep, I'm a SAHM and my son is in daycare 2 days a week.
No different than women who choose to stay home when their kids are in school.
Every family chooses what works best for them.

Nat, you have never heard of any SAHMs using daycare? I know plenty - it is good for the child to spend some time with other kids and learn in a group setting (my mum teaches little ones and can see a big difference in most kids coming from learning based daycare compared to sitters/staying at home) and I am sure it is also good for parents to get a little time out or spend some one on one time with the other kids
My mum did not teach when we were young but she put us into part time daycare as soon as we were old enough. I am still friends with 2 of the kids I went to 'nursery school' with

Work today was good - had class figure out how much I had to spend to get $200 worth free in SDM redemption on a bonus day, they are learning proportions...a few of my boys said, "I need to get me one of them Optimum Cards..." lol...we used only shopping on 20X the point day proportions
Tomorrow...cell phone plans
Yes, my name is a Harry Potter reference. My online persona kinda developed into it, so I decided not to change my pic or siggy, so ppl would know it is still me, although, there is a note in the siggy too.
I haven't cast a spell in a while
