In the morning, I boiled four pounds of pork button bones - that will be soup for tomorrow.
The pork has been marinating in the fridge all day, just put it in the oven with a tomato-based garlicky oniony sauce, then that sauce will be served over rice and mixed veggies.

I'm still using my slicer/dicer from Amazon, still loving it. However, DS still thinks that zucchini is fun to cut, but not suitable for human consumption. So tonight I added curly cut onion from my slicer, sliced mushrooms (not on the slicer), olive oil, sea salt and fresh pepper for DH and I to eat, put them all in my grilling wok on my bbq. I highly recommend a grilling wok if you like to BBQ, they should be reduced right now, great for cooking veggies! It works when you're camping too, over an open fire.

I did corn on the bbq too with olive oil, sea salt, pepper. Used a different bbq tray, has holes in it and an open end, corn got a bit blackened which was perfectly tasty.

Our protein source was...hot dogs. We were out a lot of the day, I knew I wanted something easy, and something DS would eat. Superstore had Maple Leaf dogs on sale this week and I had .50 coupons. They were a bit cheaper at Giant Tiger, but didn't figure it was worth my while to go there too.

Tonight we went to a local restaurant for my Oma's, I had chicken parm with potatoes, mixed veggies, Cesar salad, and cream puffs for dessert. It was ok, Opa and Oma love this restaurant but I just find it to be ok, maybe it is because the only time I go we are in a large group.

This was a fast, simple meal to prepare which was great as we arrived home late and very hungry this evening. Rotini with turkey breast, asparagus, tomatoes, and crumbled feta cheese....and lots of garlic of course. It's the first time we tried rotini made with organic rice flour. I couldn't tell the difference from the regular stuff, it was great.

Tonight, supper will be leftover pork from yesterday - we all ate lots, but there's 1/2 left - I just hadn't known how much to cook of the button bones. They were delish and so tender, but a bit of a pain to eat around those little bones.

I think I'll make coated wedge potatoes to go with, plus coleslaw.

I made a peach pie & had left over pastry so made a tomato tart for tonight. So easy, just rolled out the dough into a round shape filled it with grated cheese, spring onions,(chopped) & diced potato & put sliced tomatoes on top, folded the pastry over it all leaving a hole in the middle which showed the sliced tomatos, easy peasy as Jamie Oliver would say
