Last night was roast beef, green beans, and acorn squash with zucchini bread for dessert. Tonight, I'm making a lamb roast and green salad for my son and I'm thinking about a homemade minestrone soup for DH and I.

I keep craving that cheesesteak... maybe it is looking more like lunch! LOL... It is all good I have to run to the store anyway so I can grab some broccoli and make some homemade broccoli and cheese soup with some biscuits (Natalka's fault... you made it sound sooooo good!)

I didn't end up making the lamb roast because DS found a recipe he'd rather try. We'll attempt it tomorrow evening after picking up some more stuff we need to make it.
The minestrone soup was a hit though. Rich and filling.

Did you know I've made a lunch that is extra scary?
Worm & spider sandwiches that are extra hairy,
Menacing burgers that are screaming out boo!
& ghoulish martinis with eyeballs too,
Apples for bobbing & pumpkins for the carving,
At our Halloween lunch, you will not leave starving,
Skeleton stew & graveyard jello,
Cobweb candy & treats that are a greenish yellow,
Trick or treat wishes I send with a howl,
Just beware of those creatures who are out on the prowl!
p.s. chicken schlop for dinner.

Tonight we are having roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, canned corn, cauliflower (cleaning out the fridge) and fresh asparagus. Prepped everything last night so all I had to do was pop the crockpot base in and turn it on.... so easy!
