    I am thankful that my mother has seemingly overcome her lifelong drug problem and is clean. years of rehab and therapy... I have been seeing her for the past few months and tonight I am finally going to allow her to meet my children. just a dinner and presents (xmas) but it is a HUGE step. huge.

    my kids are 9 and 3 1/2. she met my daughter when she was 1 and under, but really hasnt actually met her. my 3 year old son doesnt even know of her existence. should be an interesting evening.

    dinner went fantastic. i have never seen my mother so genuinely, effervescently happy. it was wonderful. both of my children responded to her in such a comfortable manner. it was lovely.

    I am thankful for my beautiful children.

    Dd destroyed all of the other girls while doing a hurdle, round off, back handspring. I am so proud of her and her athleticism, she sure as hell did not get it from me.

    Last night I went to bed early because I haven't been sleeping well.

    I woke up just after 2 a.m., went to the kitchen to make coffee and ALL the dishes, pots and pans from the last few days were all washed and put away. I hadn't done them because I had trouble with my hands.
    My very sweet husband did all of them - after having had a very long day of work.

    Sometimes there are no words....
