SIL and her husband hung a deer in my garage in November as they had no room at their place. It was only supposed to be here for a couple of days. The damn thing is still here and is now only good for dog meat. There is still blood all over the floor and a bag of guts waiting to be disposed of. It's all frozen but still gross. A damn waste of meat. When DH gets home, he can deal with it as it's his sister.

Lost power last night, which is bad enough BUT it cut off SNL.
We only got the first 35 minutes. Booooo! Justin and Jimmy were on and I've been soooo looking forward to it.

This is less of a rant and more of me just being depressed. I have over $100 worth of food in my freezer and fridge and I've been out of power for over 24 hours and they're saying prepare for another 72 hours of no power. Given the fact that I can't get any food that isn't chips, crackers or cookies, I need to buy my breakfast, lunch and dinner. I carefully plan my grocery buying and am strict with my budget and if I have to throw out all of the food in my fridge, I probably won't be eating for a month or so because it's not in my budget and I can't not pay for things like my phone, internet and mortgage or my maintainence fees. I already had a bit of a breakdown on Saturday over other life things so I really can't handle this right now.

Anything that can be frozen put in a box or something outside, it's cold enough outside that nothing will go bad or unfreeze, stick it in your car if you're worried about animals getting it.
We had a broken fridge for 3 days and took all our frozen stuff outside and it was fine.
So sorry you're going through this, it's such a stressful time of year and no one should be worrying about when they're gonna get their power back or how much food is going to lost.

When people go on Facebook, see something that they don't like and then get mad. Examples include: Sad news stories (not everyone can handle the emotional implications!) or a prank where someone says "someone is sending me naked pictures and they won't stop, here is their profile link" and when you click it redirects you back to your own FB page (what if someone's abusive s/o saw that??). Maybe I'm being too harsh, but I really think if it's that big of an issue then they shouldn't be on Facebook.

Driving down the highway and a rock pops up from under a truck wheel and hits my windshield. Little chip, could be fixed.
Not 10 minutes later I hear a crack and a snap. My windshield cracks all the way across, has to be replaced. That is going to be $400 that I could have spent elsewhere. efffffffff.
ANDDDDDDD
Because of the holidays, I cannot get it replaced until Friday, and because of the way it is cracked, I really should not drive my car, so the next few days are going to be painful.Last edited by i_forget; Mon, Dec 23rd, 2013 at 04:08 PM.

I injured myself shortly after dh left to work for the day. I was cutting a dry baguette, it slipped, I smashed my thumb into the dry baguette...sliced my thumb open along the nail-bed on right hand. I am on injection bloodthinners, so bleeding is an extra bad thing. LO was eating in his high-chair at the time, so I was able to take care of my hand. Delayed the preparation of my breakfast and the baguette is in the trash.
It just turned out to be "one of those days."Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money
