What do you think is among the best TV program ever made?
My Pick....
Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Well written and detailed. Showing the darker side of star trek while also examining psychological and moral issues. The character development was excellent and it stands out to me as some of the best TV ever made. This thread is currently associated with: N/Ahttp://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

Not a huge fan of scifi or fantasy, so was never able to get into the ones mentioned.
In terms of my all-time fav show, it's something called Unsub (I know, I know, no one has ever heard of it). It was a cross between CSI and Criminal Minds, 10 yrs before either one came to be. Only 8 episodes aired, which thankfully I have found on DVD and watched more than once.
Rounding out my top 5 are the following:
2 - Alfred Hitchcock Presents (LOVE the bw from the 50s into the 60s, but also have a soft spot for the 80s version shot in my neck of the woods)
3 - Twilight Zone (the bw original, although not crazy about the alien episodes - fav episode was The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms, still haunts me many years after I first watched it)
4 - Equalizer (I am not a happy camper about the movie version, I doubt they will be able to capture the dark humour in the series)
5 - Mission: Impossible (both the original and the 80s remake - can you tell I'm a child of the 80s? - loved the plots, and didn't hurt that I had a crush on Peter Graves )

In no particular order.
Oz
Homicide Life on the Street
Chicago Hope
Hill Street Blues
Law and Order
Third Watch
Hill Street Blues
ER
Emergency (from the 70"s)
Oh man I could go on and on. Sadly there is very little I watch these days on a regular basis. The Walking Dead, The Newsroom and Boardwalk Empire are pretty much it. Along with Bill Maher and The Daily SHow.

i'm weird but
buffy the vampire slayer
boy meets world
doll house (loved the show but it wasn't popular enough to go past the first season.)
ringer (also cancelled way too soon.)
true blood (not as good as the book series and the final episode ruined it but overall a good show)
the outer limits (some great episodes some not as great.)
resurrection (I liked the first season it has the potential to be great if they don't ruin it.)
*under the dome is my favorite current show but the season juse ended. (I did not read the book.)
*once upon a time (I think the new season is starting soon.)
I also love big brother but that's a "reality show" so is listed separately.Intergalactic Proton Powered Electrical Tentacled Advertising Droids!

I was a bit late to the game, but over my holiday break my boyfriend convinced me that we should binge watch Breaking Bad. WOW! What an incredibly entertaining and smart series. Breaking Bad wins best tv series in my book, hands down!
