ugh ya i have been there done that before too third time in four years apparently the doc said i must have a delicate immune system
am waiting for the meds to kick in so i can maybe sleep
the pillow idea sounds good should hunt down an extra pillow to prop myself up cause i have had the drowning feeling since sat night havent slept much at all

Rose, you need to get the pneumonia shot (once every 5 or 6 years). Once you're 100%, talk to your doctor. I'm surprised you haven't had it - or are you one of the ones it does nothing for? I have that problem with the flu shot (supposed to get it, but it makes me sick, fine with the pneumonia shot, go figure).

aww Rose am so sorry that really sux right before Christmas, hopefully the antibiotics have kicked in enough by then so you will feel better for it. I got my pneumonia shot a couple years ago the dr insisted I get in but then that winter got pneumonia lol told him see I got that blasted shot for nothing but he assured me it kept me from getting a worse type of pneumonia or sicker, hmmm maybe. Anyway I will continue to take the shot when the dr tells me it's time again in the hopes he was right and I would get sicker if I didn't.

lol Andit so glad the kids forgave you! Mollie loves tuna fish also, she's never been a big eater so not much really excites her but tuna is one of those things that she perks right up for.

lolcat loved the pics the santa face was definitely a job well done. They all were adorable even your dh.

Arghhhhhh...it's so GREAT to be back home again with lights on! Power went out here at 2:30am and we got up FREEZING around 9:00am. Needless to say I couldn't go to work as there was no point going to fix a lunch for someone without any power plus it was a laundry day for my client so couldn't do that...so he told me to take the day off. My neighbors called to tell us to go over as they have a generator so we've been there all day! We just had our power restored at about 6:30pm this evening and boy am I EVER happy to be home but very thankful for all the neighbors did for us! Down my way was really bad and we had wind gusts of 126 kms/hour which is hurricane force winds. It did do some damage in some places where some trees fell and one hours caught fire and burned to the ground. Also, some houses lost some vinyl siding. I haven't finished reading all so have no clue if NS Angel is around yet! But in case she's not, yep, they got the same weather as us but I don't think Halifax got it quite as bad as we did We did have 100,000 people without power and there still are some that don't have it yet And it's COLD out there so I really do feel sorry for them

you definitely did get hit harder than us. we're both on bodies of water, but ours is a sheltered harbour and yours is an open bay. lots of wind damage going on there. we lose trees. you guys lose boats!

but yes, we do have ppl without power here. for one thing dh's work. that whole area is without power. he was so pissed off, tim hortons was shut down. but his work wasn't because they have back up generators.

we lost power a couple of times, for meer seconds. but i'm in a semi-detatched house, (so it's higher than wide), and i swear the whole house shook with the wind. scared the carp outta me. (yes carp, not crap).

roads were brutal on way to dh's work. very icy. bad highway. but intown roads were fine. started to snow last night and he wanted to go out! (only time he wants to go shopping is when i have liquor store g/cs). so we went out, and what a fricking beast that was!

ds never had his pill, and the 2 of them bickering like 2 year olds in the stores! i wanted to shoot them so bad. ds ended up spitting in dh face and that sent dh off on a tangent. was not a good night.

so this am, ds is not sleeping in, he is getting up by 9am to get his pill! be damned!

so i never did any real shopping. did get a bottle of NS blueberry wine, and a bottle of spumonte. dh got a 12 pk of keiths.

rented a movie, hancook (because amy reminded me about will ty amy). but never got to watch it cause of the spitting thing.

but rented til wed. so hopefully watch it tonight with some toblerone. which i had to go to $$$ store (ran outta coupons) but they sell it for .65 c. i just had to buy 6 of them to make up the 2 100g bars. FYI)

so will make extra for the top floor that gave blair the bonus. and maybe an onion lovers twist loaf. now this is so good. was going to post a pic, but everyone hoed into it before i could! you can make it by hand or start it in breadmachine you roll out dough into a rectangle, spread on it, butter, parmesanchese, onion, paprika and garlic. you cut it into 3 strips. roll up each strip lengthwise and braid it.

it comes out HUGE! really rises. and takes up the whole baking sheet!

Yeah, we have LOADS of boats here but a couple of my neighbors are fisherman and their boats were fine. They were well tied up and I think they moved them to another side so they would be safer from the wind...

I believe there were a lot of chimney fires though, there was another right up the road from us lastnight...so sad

Glad to hear you guys are all okay though...I did drive to the store yesterday and it was horrific driving. We'd had snow and then it had switched over to freezing rain so the road was solid ice, like a bumpy mirror Most of the stores were closed here due to the power outage...Tim Hortons was also closed!!
