Lol...you sound like your puppy picture looks...

Oh, ITA, nothing, nothing palatable on tv at ALL! So hubby's watching some movie he pvr'd, and I've been on the computer pudding around on some really weird sites on youtube....political, metaphysical...sometimes both, lol....there's some pretty interesting stuff out there wrt what's supposed to happen to the economy this September...perhaps I should finish my Christmas shopping before then while I still have a few dollars left...

Oh, Nat...that's not comfy for anyone! Is your air-conditioner still working in your kitchen? I guess you'll have to hang out in there, but no cooking allowed! If there's one good thing about winter, it's the cooking and baking we can do again....and the snugglier winter clothes!
I imagine you didn't get much sleep in that heat too....I hope you can find some relief today, Nat.

Good morning, everyone!!
Looks like the rain has crossed the border and it's sunny again. Hubby's gone golfing, so I'll grab the van this afternoon and do a little running around.
(I have no idea what I did wrong but the top part on this ipad turned grey instead of white and it's hard to read all my tabs now!!)
You all have a great, sunny day!!

Good morning every1. A sunny start to the day.

Nat, I'd happily switch with you - I'll take 30 over 14 any day.

Ugh! So UBC Life Sciences found a gene or something that's responsible for making people unable to keep lost weight off, and, used on mice, made them lose 50% of their fat.
They interview this skinny young gal who is personally convinced (obviously due to her extensive knowledge on the subject) that people can simply lose weight through, like, meditation and yoga instead of {shudder} taking a pill.....! I just want to drop-kick those people!! How's THAT for exercise, honey?!

A hotter one today - humidex of 38 on its way...
Lynn, yes, the a/c in the kitchen is working wonderfully - and what that means is that I CAN cook things in the oven, and it's totally fine! It's best for me to do casseroles and roaster-type meals because I can prep sitting down, and then just shove it in the oven for an hour or two. It's harder for me to cook at the stove for an hour. Plus, that means I can still make hearty meals which my husband needs.
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Hello ticul.
I hope you'll going to post here more often.
Well it's up to 21 now, but we're suppose to get more rain this afternoon.
Nat, we've only had about 2 weeks of summer here this year, not nearly enough. I hope it cools off soon for you, and warms up for us.

Now this is just getting silly.
I've been up since 7:30 and Jenny's still under the comforter fast asleep!
I think camping tires her out , lol....
I just woke her up....she stretched, rolled over to get her tummy scruffles and then trued to stretch under the covers again! It's like trying to wake up a teenager!!
I got her up, got her out the door to do her business which I'm not sure she did, and where is she now? Bundled up in our sherpa blanket like a burrito, on my lap. It looks like she's determined to not have anything to do with the day. Must be nice, eh?

That's too cute Lynn. Funny though; she sounds just exhausted.
So much different than Jake. No matter how tired he is, I can't move, cross my legs, pick up my coffee mug, etc. and he's up, expecting me to play with him. Cute, but sometimes I wish he'd be more like your Jenny.

Morning All,
So glad I bought DH his birthday gift early (seeing the Jays play the Oriols)...ticket prices are crazy since almost all home games are sold out. Its nice to see so many people cheering them on though, we need this as a city and a country!
Its only Tuesday and I feel like it should be Thursday...come on weekend

I absolutely understand, Hicks....Jenny always gets "chase me catch me" after her dinner, when, of course, I'm ready to relax, but no...must get up and give her chase...omg, can a little Doxie run!!
She tires out finally and we're able to crash on the sofa again. My energy level isn't where it used to be, and I guess that's from doing practically nothing for a year or so and even now I can only manage a short walk before my knee wants to fold up and give out on me, so playing is a bit difficult. Oh gosh, we used to run and play in the back yard!! Maybe next summer...fingers crossed!
