used the leftover batter from last night's chicken ball fry to do up a few fillets of cod and some onion rings. DH and I had a Caesar salad with, kids had cooked carrots. btw has anyone tried the muffins from FreshCo?? Oh wow!! Tbh, they should be called cupcakes. The flavours were pumpkin/cream cheese filled and Toffee Caramel filled. They were priced at $1.25 for a six pack.....that was dessert for the guys while I drooled on the sidelines.

Last night was rice, Indian curry, Indian eggplant, and a cucumber and tomato salad.
Tonight I'm using the leftover hamburger meat and the Boursin and cream cheese mixture I have to make a creamy sauce and serve over noodles.

Cold here, so a nice hearty slowcooker concoction - steak strips, carrots, celery, cabbage in leftover dark ginger ale (yes, lately I've been using whatever liquid is around, then correct the seasoning), with a packet of french onion soup mix and garlic - and will add a can of mushroom soup to cream it up. Will serve over penne rigate.
It's not quite down but it worked well - we have a whole pile 'o beef which aren't exactly tender cuts, and weren't labelled (husband bought them from a friend just starting a Halal butcher's shop) - so I see the slowcooker is a good way to use the meat.
