Harper had a vote in the House to send Canadian aircraft. Trudeau didn't have a vote to withdraw. But something something Harper dictator or whatever.

Oh well now you know how the rest of us felt for the last 9 years of torture.
Don't worry maybe in 8 years or so you might get back in but don't be surprised if the left unites. If that is the case it will be a long time before cons get back in. Oh what a dream scenario that would be .

Did you know I was in Quebec in 95 and voted FOR separation?
I think I posted about this here before. I didn't want Quebec to separate but I also thought it should be the right of Quebecers to decide their fate, not me. I had lived in Quebec less than a year. I voted yes to cancel out one of the no votes from my dozen or so co-workers from NFLD, NS and MB.
Near pooped myself when yes almost won. And then Parizeau's speech... the anger in his eyes.
