@coupon girl glad you are treating you and your dh to some new threads (clothes), I think we all have those comfy shirts, etc that have the tiny holes that are so well loved and we just can't part with some of them- enjoy the clothing AND nothing like shopping from home especially with free shipping so not worth the hassle on shopping in the stores with the hussle and bussle (or maybe that's just me) haha
2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Afternoon all,
My folks came for a visit this afternoon they arrived at 1130 (I forgot about the time change) so I cooked rib steaks on the bbq, frozen broccoli, rice and my folks brought fresh baquettes. They left at 230, I sent them home with several jars of jam & jellies which are not getting eaten by my guys so win win.
I went to check my pc offers and I always check my transaction history noticed that they have already started awarding my points as elite (woot woot), I don't know how it's possible but I have 10,500pts in 1 transaction not sure how or why unless it's a bonus for accepting the new cc.
Supper tonight is hot Italian sausages on a bun or leftover pizza, everyone seems inclined to eat their leftover pizzas for supper which is fine with me (saves me from cooking tonight).
We gave the neighbours a 3 piece wall unit that we no longer needed yesterday, dh stayed for many drinks and well let's just say is not feeling the best today. I went over for 2 hours as the guys gf insisted dh come and get me AND well let's just say I don't look forward to more girl chit chat, however, the guys were smitten with each other (haha), oh well, but then again they were both feeling pretty good.
Logan's old room is empty and ready for them BUT our room still needs to be emptied, really not looking forward to emptying the closet not many in the house and where oh where will I put this clothes...yikes.
Wishing everyone a wonderful afternoon2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Hello folks
Just finished reading all your posts.
Lynn started a thread about my dh which explains why I haven't been around.
It's been a tough time and continues to be so.
It seems that many of you have been struggling with illness too.
I am worried about Crochet Lady as her illness seems so severe.
Spring is beginning to show and that does lift the spirit!
I had the chance for lovely baby snuggles last weekend as dh's daughter and our grand-daughter came from Denver for a few days.
Baby smells are so beautiful !(Well, most of them! LOL)
Granger and Angela, I love your posts as our grand-daughter is about the same age.
Sweet Sparrow - you are one incredible momma- slogging through all that snow!
Andit- I wasn't aware of your doggy's challenge and your poor mother's illness. I sure am hoping that you get the specialist situation solved. Maybe if you call your MPP for assistance.
Walks- keep it up with the swimming! Amazing how the pounds drop and the spirit lifts when you take on a healthy habit! I must say I have been "stress-eating " which has done just the opposite - complete with vrtigo and headaches. Bleah!
YOU AND ME- I am hoping that your wrist heals better and that you can get some help for your mod. My heart and prayers go out to you!
J&C - you are my model for frugality and taking on whatever challenge comes along and still finding time to be so helpful to others. Your renovations sound like they will be challenging but so great when they are done! I hope that your son's appointments are helping him.
FrugalMom - I loved your suggestions for Easter gifts for older boys! And I just loved the umbrella idea for your niece!
Lilo- hope your vacation is great!
Lizzie - sorry you missed the concert. Hope you're feeling better.
Cielo - you are always so kind to others!
Coupon girl - I hope your ear is getting better - earaches are so draining!
Well, I need to go have a shower now that dh seems to be more comfortable.
Bye for now! I'm always thinking about you all!

Good morning, everyone.

Up extra early to get ready to go in to the hospital for my annual tune up. I'm grateful for the good care I receive, just not too keen on the actual testing. The highlight will be an hour of poking and prodding, playing where's-the-vein.
Had a low-key weekend, trying to focus on happy thoughts. My contribution to Saturday's dinner with friends was a salad - I used lettuce, some cooked beets cut into bite-sized pieces, cut-up orange segments, a handful of sunflower seeds and lemon-poppyseed dressing (too lazy to make my own dressing) - turned out yummy. Now, I'm hungry. Too bad I have to wait til this afternoon to eat (not allowed anything but water 12 hrs before or during the test today). By the time I get home, I'll be like Lily dog, wanting to eat everything in sight.
Speaking of my girl, she's almost back to her crazy self. She still has problems backing up, but raced around playing with her squeaky toy for the first time in 3 weeks when company came. My friend pointed out that one of my stresses has been resolved, everything else will work out as well.
I'll have to wake the critters up soon, they're both out cold. I'm typing quietly in the dark, the only sound I can hear is Quincy cat's snoring. It's a surprise the neighbours aren't complaining about the noise (he's that loud!).
Better get going and make breakfast for the troops, that should wake them.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Happy Monday!! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a lot of quality time. Did some house cleaning/laundry. Enjoyed the beautiful sunny days with a drive each day. Stocked up on some free bacon and wieners (the highlight of my weekend lol)
Now trying to figure out which day to do what for March Break. Hoping we get one rain free afternoon- Want to go to the maple syrup bush!

Hi from the sunny south. The view is amazing we have a corner unit on the 10 floor with a wraparound balcony. Our view is the Atlantic ocean..
Tonight we are going to Logan' Roadhouse for dinner. Logan loves that he has a restaurant named after him.
The wifi is good too so I can still keep up with you ladies.
Andit: my doctors plays find the vein on me too no fun.
Avon: I have been thinking of your DH and hope he is getting good care, my mom was treated in London for breast cancer almost 20 years ago and it was a success. So IMO a good place to be if you need care.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good morning! My last work day of the week. Took a few days off for March Break so I can get the kids out for some fun.
Tonight we clean out the fridge and eat the leftovers. Will take everything out and do a deep clean while I'm at it! Then I can see what we have to use up for the rest of the week and am ready for shopping the new sale flyers (Haven't bought much the past few weeks which is great. Starting to see a bit of space in the chest freezer)
Will tackle the laundry tonight too. Will aim to get everything clean put away!
Hope everyone has a great day!
