I was impressed with my SDM redemption as I stayed away from cosmetics and stuff and stuck to my list. But I can't believe some of the prices this week $12.99 for a box of Neo Citron, Listerine 1litre on for $8.99 wow. Thanks to everyone on this forum for help with saving money

@Angela273 -glad you went to ER as any medical attention is better than none. Something is definitely going on. You did have pain in the leg prior to the twins' birth. Can you ask to have your blood tested for heavy metals/mercury? Abdominal pain sounds awful. Hope your younger brother enjoyed his stay with your family and was a help with the younger ones.
Found a nickel yesterday. Checked gas prices before 4pm today and the station I wanted to go was posted as having gas over $1 per litre. I showed up after 4pm and price was about 10 cents less-got 1L. Mulchfest is on tomorrow (take that, leaves).
Worked on the master grocery list file in Excel. Even I seem astonished at the prices of some things I purchased. My sweet tooth needs a good protein kick instead. Updated the paper grocery shopping list, as this week, some staples need to be bought. The jar of coconut oil lasted just under a month-used the last spoonful with the last mac & cheese pasta today.

I haven't heard anything regarding this morning's blood work, so I'll call my GP in the morning. My leg pain is due to the severe DVT damage that occurred back in 2007, complications after an auto accident. My brother arrived home safely this evening. Based on the happy stories he told my mom, he had a blast. The twins both enjoyed requesting snuggles from their uncle and then falling to sleep in his lap. It was sweet. He also helped me with the little ones so that I could nap.

Baby girl is sick. It sounds like our twins continue to pass germs back and forth. I don't really want to, but I think they need to both be on an antibiotic at the same time in order to stop this vicious cycle. The babies slept for one 3.5hr stretch last night. Baby boy was only up once. Baby girl was up ever 1/2-1hr. I'm so sick of my family and I being sick.
I I managed to wash and fold 2 loads of laundry yesterday, so things are mostly caught up. I have to meal plan for the week, but there are some meats that I'm not sure that I could stomach at the moment.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

@Angela273 : I hope you are feeling better and can get in contact with your doctor for some answers. Hug to you and all you're going through. Somehow, I can't believe you can still get around to do laundry and have time to fold things. My folded items are all over the place as I'm always called away. There's random folded items on the dining table, where LO plays in her playroom, upstairs waiting to be put away....
What a weekend.... SIL called to ask for a contribution to a gift for DH's parents. When she told me the amount, I wasn't sure if it was per person or per family. I'm afraid to ask.
I also majorly chipped a tooth from eating a certain superhard cereal. It's my third time chipping a tooth, so I am banned from this cereal for life. From now on, I'm eating things that completely dissolve in milk. Saturday morning was spent braving Black Friday weekend shopping traffic, going across the GTA to my dentist for an emergency appointment. The dentist was able to fix it, but again mentioned the possibility of a "root canal" for this one botched tooth from a dentist long, long ago.
Unfortunately, my dentist is never careful about making sure the resin from fillings isn't sharp for the patient afterwards. All day yesterday and today, I have a massive sore on my tongue from being close to the filled chip. Later that evening, I was able to get all the resin bits off the outside of the tooth. Mental note for next time, I will try brushing as the resin isn't supposed to stick to the untreated tooth.
That sucked up the morning and any sales we would have tried for. Not that I would have anyways.

Oh sweetsparrow, it doesn't sound like you are having a good time either. I have a different load of unfolded laundry waiting in our bedroom from last week. I made our son put away his own clothes. I say on his bed to fold it and kept handing him the piles to put away in his drawers. I've done this before, but I'm not consistent because, like with many things, it takes longer. I folded the other load of laundry last night when our kids were first in bed, so the twins' clothes still need to be put away. Our living room needs the toys picked up and vaccines again. The kitchen floor needs swept and washed, food sticks to the floor where the twins eat. 1/2 the kitchen table needs to be reclaimed. Dh is still trying not to get sick, I let him sleep last night. Here's hoping I can get some answers and manage a nap today.

Laundry- I had tons to do yesterday since we were away and I usually start all gung ho and then I loose my steam. So I went to the Laundromat and did 5 loads- washed/dry and folded. Then took it home and put it all away, made beds and was done with it. I plan to do this more often since it really lets me be done with it and saves me time.
4 day work week for me- another hockey tournament starting early Friday morning! And I still have 3 vacation days to use up and already have Dec 22 till the end of year off! Will have to look at schedule and plan my last shopping day and then a fun day or 2
Today my honey is off and went to tackle some of his Christmas shopping (he was planning to do it all so we can wrap it and be done with it) We have a romantic night away booked mid December so I told him I want the shopping completely done and wrapped before then. So I better get busy this week too! DS has a hockey game tonight so the man said he will be back in time and will plan/make dinner. So I will empty the dishwasher and tidy up a bit while he cooks.
Have a great day everyone!

Sorry to hear that you chipped your tooth. I too have managed to chip my teeth on all sorts of things - popcorn is the worse for me as well as a hard bun from Swiss Chalet. I had a filing last month that turned into a root canal this month.....same reason as you - bad dentist in the past. I ended up seeing a specialist who does root canals....did an amazing job. The throbbing has finally stopped. Hopefully you don't have to go that route.
What brand of cereal cracked your tooth?

Sunday was my shopping day. One redemption at SDM to get rid of some points, picked up some paper towels for the new baby, eggs, Nivea for Mum and that used it all. I think if I had more time, I would have done another redemption at a different store as they were missing a few items I was looking for. Ran around at an outdoor mall to pick up DH's gift, a new showerhead for the bath, and some extra grapes that I bought Saturday and tested on Sunday at WM. In the evening, I had to do some real grocery shopping after LO slept for the night and parked in the spot reserved for expectant mothers and families with young children for the first time. How luxurious! Someone is always in that spot during the day.
While I was at WM, I experienced a sharp stomach area pain. It can't be contractions so early! I tried walking a bit but felt worse. I debated between just going home or if I should call the hospital to see if they think it serious. I stooped to look for shampoo and almost couldn't get up if it weren't for a lady who told me I was in her way. The pause made the pain ease and then I finally realized what it was, after walking around the entire store with severe discomfort.
Earlier at lunch, I ate a cheese sandwich, with three small, rectangular pieces of cheese, about 2.5 mm or less in width. I was having lactose intolerance pain! I had forgotten what that felt like because I've been working on building my tolerance for years. Apparently, two small bowls of cereal at breakfast is okay, but three small pieces of cheese are not okay. The effects of the intolerance seems to be cumulative. How silly I felt, almost thinking that I was going to go into labour at Walmart! Well, it is pretty stressful there....
@Natalka: Thank you for suggesting EB Games. DH did originally pick it up there as a used game for the original price, but they lowered the price for this weekend and then took off an amount equivalent to the tax. I picked up a game that looks like new for a fair price. Hopefully, it works as I didn't buy the guarantee!
I'm not sure yet if I should hold out for the new version at Best Buy or Amazon and use points for the purchase. Amazon is still out of stock, and I've spent all my points at the moment to be able to pick up a GC.Last edited by sweet sparrow; Mon, Nov 28th, 2016 at 12:34 PM. Reason: Spacing
