Peeking in - DH's son here. We've had wild weather all around but he sailed through from Detroit. What he doesn't know is that (oops -sorry Nat and Lynn- the dreaded "is-thats") They closed the highway just behind him after a tractor trailer crash near Chatham where we used to live.
I am hoping for good weather for my trip to Kitchener tomorrow!

Too, too cold here - windchill for the day creeping close to -40... but hopefully sun again today.
Husband saw wonderful sundogs out yesterday - I wasn't out, so didn't see them.

Sun dogs (or sundogs), mock suns or phantom suns, meteorological name parhelia (singular parhelion), are an atmospheric phenomenon that consists of a pair of bright spots on either horizontal side on the Sun, often co-occurring with a luminous ring known as a 22° halo.

Is this just a prairie thing; have none of you ever seen them? I know it has to be clear and frigid.

Our temp today is the same as the North Pole!
I was supposed to get a package from Canada Post yesterday, notice yesterday said it would be delayed. Today they said it will be delayed til Monday because of inclement weather - first time I've ever encountered this; here, people just go about their business as usual, no matter how fargin' cold it is.
