I just checked on my sister and she is alright. She said no one in her office was injured, but in the one next to her, two people are "missing" from yesterday. There are currently counselors available nearby in case anyone needs to speak with them. She can see police tape from her window and a partial path the driver would have taken before it's obstructed by buildings. Off to email some other friends to see if they are ok.
It's such a nice community. There are lots of reports of strangers being kind to each other, hugging anyone in tears, leaving water bottles out for the emergency workers, and not walking around with the stone silence that's so common among commuting strangers.

Yes, that attack with the van is quite a scary thought. My prayers are with all who were impacted directly and indirectly.
I went grocery shopping last night and bought meat from NF, WM, and CO-OP. At NF I used 2x $4 Jane’s coupons and bought two different chicken products to try. They both have $4 coupons on the box. Our store was out of stock of various produce that I wanted to buy, so didn’t do the $20 produce offer. I redeemed $50 in Points and spent $1.43oop. I earned 2,150pts from personal offers. I didn’t realize I had the one offer, or else I would have picked up more cheese slices.
I only have older kids today, so we are spending a lot of time at the park this morning. Twin girl already found a dime to take home for her piggy bank. We are the only ones playing at the park this morning. We brought toys at home to use in the sand box, of the kids make it that far.Last edited by Angela273; Tue, Apr 24th, 2018 at 02:51 PM.

About tool organization-I'd suggest that your DH has a marked shelf or toolbox that you know you can find a tape measure, screwdriver with various tips, a regular hammer, adjustable wrenches and yes the plumber's wrenches. Why? You might need a too for a small task in the house and DH is not home. At our residence, I know where I can find some screwdrivers and wrenches but there are a few tools of certain sizes that seem to go back and forth between the garage (several places) and workshop. When I need one of those sized items and they are not in the workshop, there goes my time and makes the task longer. You don't want that. i.e the one hex key that fits in the fridge door handle.

So sad about Toronto. Scary for every one with friends and family there!
Rough night last night. Im home sick today with a head cold. Dogs decided they needed a half hour potty brwak at 2 am. Charlie goes to the shelter today to get flown to yellowknife for his neutering. After thst our adoption will be finalized. I feel bad for him being over night there because it terrifies him but i know in the end its permanent for him to be with us.
We are still trying to sell our old house. Supporting 2 mortgages sucks.
Ive been knitting and making bath fizzies for a craft sale this fall. Preparing in advance!
Not much shopping this week boys are eith their mom and we had stocked up the pantry over easter.

Today the flowerbeds got the hoeing and a little bit of cleanup; most of the dirt clumps from the bagged mix are smaller or broken down. The Siberian squill has carpeted a part of the lawn-very much a surprise-while the two purple crocuses are open to the gray sky. Saw lots of single long green leaves (thought they were long grass blades) in the front flowerbeds-probably some flowers trying to set up shop. I intend to sprinkle a packet of flower seeds later as Ms Rain is due to come through soon and to save me the watering effort.
Seems like all of us at home are in some grouchy mindset-not much is getting done. I suggested that my father put up the lawn tractor for sale if he's not going to cut grass (pointed comment but he cannot act like *magic* is going to take care of activities needed to live at home). Sibling is working and while he tinkers with mechanical things, he's not filling his free time with grasscutting (try going out for moto rides with his friends instead).
Found 2 McCafe stickers yesterday and $1.80 in containers. I'll collect a hot chocolate as part of my supper plans.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Happily thought to check the Coupon Zone board at Fortinos last night after my evening can walk and noticed some new coupons had been posted over the weekend. The $1 off Cavendish product coupons will likely go for hash brown patties purchases and I took one each of three other coupons (Reactine Dissolve, Kashi cereal and an item I forget).
I have a couple of April coupons to leave on store shelves soon in case another shopper can use them.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I have my own toolbox, DH and I organize very differently. It was frustrating when I couldn't find something in his garage when he wasn't home.
re: phishing. We tried fraud with both Apple and Capital One. Each said we needed to deal with the other. Because the charges were all to an account in our name (which we didn't create or have a username or password for that matter) they wouldn't cover. This is why it was a phishing scam. They had all the correct information to create the account as though it was ours.
Behind me now. We have a new system in place for work to prevent this from happening again. Work credit cards would solve the problem too, but that is not our decision. Unfortunately in the church world, there is a blend of business and personal which can be difficult.

I have my own toolbox as well... but bf hasvtaken to raiding it on me rather than going downstairs to his tools until he puts things away and puts my stuff in his
We've had a few heated discussions re his pilfering of my tools.
