Winter returning to the GTA this weekend! Snow and colder (well cold for us - LOL) ... time to bundle up in front of the fire and have a stiff drink!

oh gosh, what a time we had this morning. Rufus and I. He has been looking very skinny every day getting thinner and thinner, so I decided to take him 2 weeks early to get him looked at ( appt. WAS for Feb first ...but ) .
The big man is turning 16 years old in March, so he sleeps almost the entire day every day. Eats very little, drinks normal, makes his piddles and messes.
The blood work results I waited on there and was so relieved everything came back good, in fact very good they said. It was decided that he will no longer receive a Rabies shot ( he was due ) , I think the vet said at his age it is not helpful?
Maybe does more harm than good?
He only weighs 13.5 lbs now....sniff , sniff. He used to weigh 20 in his heyday and was around 16 lbs 2 vet visits back.
I have bought a new brand of dry dog food to help him gain some weight, but the vet recommended one with less protein to make things easier on Rufus' kidneys....I think they said kidneys?? I was label reading after that, finally found one at 21%.
Been trying to switch out my avatar photo with a cute one I snapped of Rufus in the Highland Farms basket, but I cannot figure out how to reduce the size of the pdf or to switch it over to a jpeg file. There seems to be a maximum KB for a photo and I have tried changing the place it is from Adobe Acrobat to Paint....grrrrr, nothing worked.
Well enjoy the snaphot of my sweetums!! No maximum KB here!
We did not get him groomed at Christmas because we felt he would disappear if he didn't have his shaggy locks to cover over the skeletal body. The hair on his head looks so wild! ha ha

Awww.. @walkonby , he has such a sweet smile! I hope his new food does the trick for him...good news that he's doing his business and drinking as usual...What a cutie-pie!!
I'm not sure about no KBs here...I have to jump through hoops to post a pic on here, dang it. I've about given up.

@WALK oby Rufus looks so cute and adorable @Natalka happy to read the your blisters are on the mend. The new trend for people getting married these days are monetary gifts. Remember last year when my DH nephew got married it was very expensive for us . Also at the Bridal shower the had a registry for Stuff for there house and it was big ticketed items. So in my opinion a wedding for very close family can be very expensive.

Good morning!
Practically balmy here at -19! They are predicting -3 for Tuesday.
Snow is on its way, though.
@walkonby - what a nice pic!
Have a good day, all - keep warm and safe.
