I expect to see a flood of DIY You Tube tutorials that go " viral " with catchy titles like
Corona Colour Class and Carpet/Drape Match-Up.

This city is really shut down. My son had planned to go buy some clothes yesterday, but the store closed this week - he is peeved because there is only one decent store which has big and tall sizes.

He came by yesterday after work, because he found himself close by. I was in the kitchen, he came in the front door, so he was very far away. However, I could NOT resist, so had him come for a hug - I just had to. He stayed for supper, but we were in separate rooms.

At his work there may be layoffs coming, hopefully they will know next week.

Things for me are pretty much the same, but easier because my husband is home - not that I overwork him, sometimes it's just nice to know he is here.
I lost just over four pounds this past week - but, yet I got addicted to cheese puffs!

We had freezing rain overnight, then a bit more snow this morning, so glad we don't have to drive anywhere. Husband has a phone appointment with his doc in late afternoon - he has some questions about meds which were changed.

Hoping everyone stays warm, happy, and well!

I have a specialist appointment today waited for this for months and did not want to cancel. I was assured that no one will be in the waiting room with me and the are doing everything possible to keep the space clean. Not planning on going with even a purse only my Health card also plan on wearing some gloves and will be using my own hand sanitizer Fingers cross that this appointment goes smoothly

    Happy April, Fools
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

    Good sunny morning!

I usually stay away from the news, but I made the mistake of flipping to CNN and listening to the stupid mayor in Miami Dade county.....we're not doing much, everyone's healthy here so no, they're not imposing a stay-home order. Can Anericans BE that stupid?! Do they actually think they're above all of this?! Waiting this one out!

I think I'll sew a few of those fitted masks....just in case, but also to just get back to some sewing.

Other than that, if it does hit 10 today I may join my DH and Jenny for a walk. My back isn't perfect, though, so it won't be a long walk....I may just sit in the sunshine in a lawn chair. BUT, if it hits 14 on Saturday, the 5 of us may just be able to celebrate our DD's birthday! Oh. Which would mean I should get back to her painting.......

Anyhoodles, continue to stay home, .... our DD is working from home, and our SIL said he will not go back to work if the restaurant opens up again for take-out. How stupid, if they do open!!

Stay safe, everyone, I keep you all in my prayers.

uh....so then it was wrong of me to say to DH as he sleepily climbed the stairs up to bed " hey, ya know Elvira? That Mistress Of the Dark lady?,....she has corona virus. " He turned pale and stopped dead in his tracks so I very quickly mouthed " April Fool's " after which his knees buckled and he laughed falling down on his bum on the stairs!!
BEST April Fools prank ever because Elvira is one of his all time favourites!
Yeah it WAS stupid and a tad cruel BUT I know him and I knew he'd freakin laugh.

So then, the wheels start turning in his head as to how he can fool one of the kids. I swear to God, he was gonna tell our DS that Rufus was on the front porch! The man is a brick! I said NO!! You cannot do any mental harm, think of something else!
Finally he came up with " there's a deer out on our front lawn!" and as DS jumped up from his computer chair to open his blinds DH dropped the April Fool's words and I could hear the two of them man-laughing!!

I know @GoJays we are truly disturbed in this house I guess.

Oh and the best part was around 10 a.m. me telling DD she had missed seeing the deer on the front lawn!
I reeled her in slow, and then WHAM!

She used bad words at me and went upstairs!!

So...i still believe all is fine for us here in isolation land.

    @walkonby ...

Hahaha.....I think it's safe to say you all are taking this pandemic very well.
We're about the same around here....there's no point in acting like the world is coming to an end, just go with the flow. Our DD, though, was quite terrified for us the other day, which is why we pinky-swore (virtually, of course) that we would NOT go out for more than a walk or a sit-down on the patio. She knows that with our compromised immune systems we may not be on the list for resuscitation.

Still....you're weird and that's what I love about you, my Friend!!

Hi folks, just popping in to see how everyone is doing. It is sunny and cold here today. My tomato seeds have germinated (yay!) and will need to be potted up soon. Nephew's GF had her baby boy yesterday by c-section (9 lbs 11oz, if I remember correctly). It sounds like everyone is healthy.

An extra hug to those who are coping okay with the current stressors but who are living with loved-ones who are not.

I don't usually watch movies but this might end up being a low-key Netflix kind of day. Does anyone have suggestions re: great movies?

@TrueNorthTreasures May I recommend Knives Out ? We thought it was a great entertaining " who-dun-it " movie.

    Hello, friends!

@Lynn49 , the recipe book sounds like a great idea. Art's daughter made us one once, but of course that was from a US site.

I phoned my BrotherB this morning and mentioned that since rescues and the Humane Society are having a hard time that I was thinking of......(no response from him) ....giving them some money. April Fools!

I've been binging on old NCIS- New Orleans from last year. Watching the ads- when things were normal is weird - ads for "getting together " being so important. Birthday parties etc.

@Natalka , I know it's hard being separated from your son, but, please, you should really be self-isolating. Your health is just too compromised. What if the person that he was near at work has the virus? It takes so long for symptoms to show up and in the meantime, those who have been exposed keep spreading it. No one is immune- everyone who comes in contact WILL get ill- some more than others.

We ALL really need to keep away -totally away- from others- for as long as this is around. If we don't it WILL keep spreading. And we will have to isolate for longer.

Different provinces are dealing with this differently but if you look at the numbers, we're headed for duplicating what's going on in Italy and Spain unless we just stay away from EVERYONE.

It's the s! There's no denying it, for sure.

    Please take care!

    We love you all!

@avoncallingu - So true. I saw a report on the news about how Singapore handled it. Population of 6 million, they had 1000 cases and 6 deaths. They aggressively did "contact tracking" - working with the infected to help them recall their steps and who they might have been in contact with. Alberta has started doing this also.
    Have a great life!
