Who slept in until 8:30 this morning? Anyone? ....hmmm. Just me then.
What a great feeling it was to open my eyes and wipe away the disbelief that I had slept so soundly and for that long.
We've had this road work ongoing now for over 3 weeks and the noise level has been something to deal with.
Maybe that had me in sleep deficit.
No matter....in other fun news last night the Leaf's squeaked out an O.T. win with a middle finger to the ref/linesmen who did NOT call a slashing penalty during the OT play. Morgan Riley had his stick smashed in half, which left just 2 Leafs trying to fend off the Jets scoring. As Riley grabbed a new stick and returned to the play, the puck came his way and Matthews rushed with him to the other end and YES!! ( Matthews scored! ). Sweet Victory.
Then sadly, as I was flipping back and forth from Raptor's to Leaf's games, I pretty much figured the Raptor's had it in the bag.
So stunned to see later they lost by 1 point at the buzzer! OUCH.
I read a news article that Netflix may be coming for you! lol

I'm hoping they back down from this pilot project, don't they know we've all suffered enough?
Hope everyone is playing their best hand with whatever cards they've been dealt today!! The sun is out here, so that is a hopeful starting point.

Good morning!
Another windy, sunny day, but one day closer to spring.
@cath007 , thank heavens your Dad finally did understand that things were not right with him, and sought help for it. Prayers have been answered and all he has to do now is rest and recover. I'm so sorry your Mom wasn't as fortunate.
@Silk , thank you for that glowing compliment...just shows what watching a thousand videos can do!I hope your doctor is taking very good care of you and that very soon you'll have shaken off your health issue.
@avoncallingu , my hip joints are also supposed to be heading into surgery; I tried walking to the end of our street, only about 8 houses and I had to turn back home because of the searing pain particularly in my right hip. I may be close to using a walker, because after having so many surgeries on that break, then a knee replacement, the last place I want to be again is inside a hospital. Then physio.....I hope there's something that can help you before you take that step.
Why do my crows or ravens visit so early in the morning....too early for me to put treats out for them. It'll be easier in warmer weather when I take that first cup of coffee out there in the morning.
Speaking of which, refill time, while my Hubby and Jenny are still sleeping. Those curling matches went so far into the night!
Have a lovely Friday, everyone! We're back into a grey zone which frankly means very little. That variant is spreading like wildfire here now. Schools are closing again after opening for 3 days. Absolutely ridiculous...they should never have opened with our escalating cases!!

@walkonby - Nadiya is a force of nature! I watch bake off and she was amazing in her season. The year after, she was chosen to make a cake for the Queen, which was fab.
@cath007 - I will keep your dad in my prayers, wishing him well.
@Lynn49 - those coasters are gorgeous! I know I worked with resin decades ago, but for the life of me I cannot remember what I made!
Such sad news about your friend's husband.
Great news for me - I was able to graduate to stockings yesterday! It was so lovely to have legs nekkid for the night. Now the skin has a lot of healing left to do, but that will come with care and time. Never saw such ugly skin in my life, lol!
My physio thought I might have to get smaller and/or thicker stockings since my legs are so skinny, but the last ones I got are tight enough - and I have two new pairs. The prov. government pays for two pair every six months.
Physiotherapist came Wed. and today. I like two shorter sessions. My longest stand today was three and a half minutes - while doing weight shifting, marching, and other movements. I didn't realize she was timing them. She said my posture was better. Both knees and back hurt, but geez my right knee has been horrid. I have been asking around and no one knows a doc who will come to give cortisone injections. To me that is stupid - with them strengthening my knees, I would be able to progress better and quicker.
Since I am in stockings, a nurse will come only once a month to six weeks to do a CHF check. Still, I can contact them if something were to come up.
Sorry this was so long...
Wishing all of you all good things for a wonderful weekend!
