Good morning!!! TGIF!!! It is sunny but will be cooler now 16 degres should be 23 degres this afternoon. It will be a more normal temperature than the 35 degres yesterday..was so hot...

DS was walking out front down the path to dump the recycles into the larger container when lo and behold the Mama bunny who has been in our yard eating apples non stop for weeks was nursing one of her 4 wee baby bunnies!!
He ducked back in the house to call me to see them.....I am so happy i got to see them.
Very super cute! The Mom dashed away once we came back out onto the deck area and the bunnies were scampering up and down the path....as if to say " Mom?? where are you ?"
The Blue Jays game has been very entertaining so far. Some awesome plays by the first baseman and the pitcher.
Still 1-1 in the 5th inning.

Busy busy a.m. for me. I tend to go with when I have the energy or feel inspired or better yet get an impulse.
The result was two slabs of pork ribs are done crispy/dry ( as in no sauce as requested by the guys ).
Then for much later on tonight we'll dig into a Classic. A New York Style Baked Cheesecake with a Bing Cherry sauce.

Hi everyone!

Sorry to say I had a crap week - lots of nausea (thanks to methotrexate Monday), and much, much pain - assorted.

Nurse came Thursday for a check, said the blisters on my leg are healing well. However, bandaging requires putting on a new piece of Acticoat - a black fine mesh which contains silver for its antibacterial qualities. Only problem is that new pain starts all over again from it - burning feeling like it's going to the bone, along with lightning pain shots. It's horrible, but it does work a amazingly well - only reason I put up with it - during that night I was tempted to cut off my leg - or less dramatic, to cut the bandage off and remove the offending fabric. I did neither because I am so prone to infection anywhere, the offending stuff works. Today the pain has gone down to a dull roar.

Nothing else new - loving the cool temps, but we got smoke back today.

We are missing being at the delayed reception for a niece who got married last year - husband didn't want to go so far alone to Medicine Hat AB - son could not go with him - anyway, if husband went I would need to have son be here to look after me anyway...

The showers ( thunder and lightening ) we had last night gave our dry lawn a much needed drink. Seems today is showing clear skies and sunshine. Eye exam today for the 2 of us. OHIP will no longer pay the cost of the exam for seniors, kids and anyone else previously covered. ( starting Sept 1st ) , so we got in just under the wire!

That was an exciting 10th inning win for the Jays last night, even though they will not be making it to that wild card spot.
I have accepted that now.

Tornado warning here, threat "likely", so we left the island and came home; we had planned to anyway, and an RV like ours wouldn't be easy to topple, trees are, and that may be a problem. I hope not. DD is staying...again, very difficult to tip their also, but I pray trees don't fall.
The island is just outside of our more intense warning.

I hope everyone stays safe.

Prayers for anyone in Ida's path, that thing will wreak tremendous damage.
