Good Morning Everyone,
There are a lot of good things going on right now but it has me spinning a bit because there is a lot of work I need to put in to make them happen. It is like I know all of the things I need to get done, I understand all of the things I need to get done but getting them done is a lot.
We did not get any bad weather last night which means I could have gone out but I did not go out. I had a great day but was a bit mentally done when my day was done so we just made dinner and watched some TV.
Dinner was homemade pizza, tonight is a mystery so far.
I did place an order with Amazon last night, I used Mom's account to get Prime shipping but she messaged me last night it did not use my gift card, she thinks she fixed it but waiting for her to get up and confirm.
I bought a new vacuum, it has been on my mind since I saw the one at Costco but one night would I could not sleep I was looking at the vacuum again, trying to decide do I go get it or let it go. I found a bunch of bad reviews that the charging station stops working after a couple of months, the battery only lasts a year and is not covered by warranty as they only warranty the original battery for the year and replacements have no warranty. So I gave up on the Costco one but did some research on Amazon. I really wanted a vacuum with attachments, we do not have carpet but I use the vacuum for the couches and mattresses and our current one does not have the attachments to do it properly. As well I want a crevice for those tight spots and a beater bar that maybe I can use it on the kitchen floor. I found one on amazon, on sale and I took the plunge and ordered it last night.
I also ordered a pillow top mattress cover, my bed is a little too hard for me. Mine started showing rips last year so I cannot wash it as the stuffing is coming out, so I have been spot cleaning it but doing the whole things well on my bed, not ideal. One I have been eyeing went on sale yesterday as a daily deal so I picked that up as well.
Lastly I got a new cell phone cover because I got a new cell phone but do not want to switch (I still have my old phone) until I have a case.
I had a gift card so there were no $$$ spent out of pocket.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I made a homemade mac and cheese last night for dinner. Had some for my work lunch today.
Thawed out 2 small roasts overnight. Got them ready for the oven this morning and they are pork roasts not the beef I thought lol. Oh well. DS has them in the oven now. When I get home I will peel potatoes and get the gravy and fresh asparagus ready. Still will be a good dinner. Maybe a salad too!

There is a Circle K in the community I taught in today. It’s the first time that I’ve been able to redeem prizes from their contest. I picked up the following items for free: small bag of chips, 2 71g packages of peanuts, mini M&M chocolate cookie, a 4L jug of windshield washer fluid.

Good Morning Everyone,
A bit of a slower morning here, the snow came and will need to dig out a little later. Does look like it will be a sunny day which is nice.
Woke up with a headache, feels like it is my sinuses, probably the weather.
Thinking tonight will be a soup night, it feels like a soup type of day. Just have to decide which soup to make. Right now the plan is Soup with some leftover Dinner Rolls.
Today feels like a curl up on the couch in a blanket and work on training plans because I forgot how much time it takes me to write one from scratch.

I got asked again to teach at yesterday’s school. I think it’s a good thing that I’m already booked in town today because the highways are currently “travel not Recommemded”. The storming wind woke me up last night and it still sounds nasty.

Good Morning! Snow day again in our area (yesterday was too!) So extra long weekend for DS. He has work and 2 play off games this weekend as well.
Went to bed with a clean kitchen. DS is to empty the dishwasher today and shovel the snow. I cleared the walkway before I left for work.
Going to try and get some stuff done around the house. Go visit my mother tomorrow if the weather is ok. Attend DS's hockey games.
Sunday- I have a girls getaway with my bestie. Hotel/hot tub/pool/dinner/breakfast! Can't wait! We love it more then the guys so we decided we would just go
Thinking I will pack my new suitcase I bought last year (Reg $300 for $20!!!! Winners was clearing them out at the start of Covid) its beautiful and fancy with the 4 smooth wheels.
Groceries- I see lots of good sale items this week (shrimp!).Think I am going to try and give my freezers a good clean out and organize and take inventory and then I can make a plan to use up stuff and decide what I want to stock up on.
Have a great weekend everyone!Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Fri, Feb 18th, 2022 at 10:51 AM.

Today was a bit of a long day, just lots of little things going on.
I got our hand dishes done, I love my kitchen gadgets but most cannot go in the dishwasher so I had the air fryer base and bread machine pan to wash.
I was going to head out and shovel the snow but I got a call printing was not working. It was not a simple fix, turns out the server was acting up so that took a bit more time than expected.
I did manage to get out this afternoon and shovel the stairs but I opted to only shovel the stairs and did not clear the cars off. That will be a job for tomorrow. Shows we might get more snow tonight so will only clean the cars once.
Dinner is Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup, I was not sure Mom would go for it, she can be pretty traditional when it comes to her Chicken Noddle Soup. But she said she wanted something different, something new and when I suggested it she said sure. It is simmering away right now. We will serve it with homemade Dinner Rolls from earlier in the week.
I was happy Mom agreed as the more I thought about it, I really was not feeling the Potato Soup, I did not want the Cheesy Creamy Potato Soup.
Need to make a meal plan for next week, prepare my to-do-list for the weekend. I was hoping maybe my amazon order would arrive early so I could use the vacuum tomorrow but nope, cannot complain, it was never supposed to come today just wishful hope.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Evening ,didnt go anywhere today .Doing the laundry and my puzzle.
I decided to invite my son and the girls for supper on sat i will have a ham ,mashed poatoes and corn .My daughter-in-law is going away with her girlfriend to a winery tour and over night sat.
I told my son i will have ashlyn sleep over on sat to give him a break and only have one daughter.
My next door neighbour gave me a jar of raspberry jam because in summer we cut their lawn and in the winter i bring their blue boxes back up ,they are in early 80"s.So that was a nice gesture as i love her jam .

@Skippy I use my Optimum points to redeem towards groceries. I usually earn points at Shoppers during sales and seniors day but now that we can redeem for groceries at Loblaws type stores, that's the route I prefer.

Good Morning,
Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was a hit but I did make a tweak, I only added half the Lemon Juice. The recipe called for 2 lemons juiced, I only added 1 and it was perfect, just a hint of lemon not overpowering. Next time I would add less Orzo, it calls for a cup and a half which I used, but the Orzo absorbed most of the liquid, next time I would only add 1 cup.
Last night after work I did a little online comparisons shopping for a few things I want for around the house. I was not able to find everything I wanted in one place but found what I think will be some perfect pieces for our needs. I found a bookcase for our hallway, a new faucet for our kitchen and a racking system for our Dining Room. The racking in the Dining Room would not be permanent it is a temporary fix until we can get a wall unit. We have one we want but it does not fit in my current budget and is on backorder due to supply issues. When we get the wall unit for the Dining Room, the racking I am getting will move to the basement.
My original plan was to go today, pick everything up so we would have it all on hand at home and could start working on some of these projects. I am super motivated to get things done. But we got more snow overnight, it was just snowing again and it is supposed to get incredibly windy so I decided today was not the day to go. I cannot get everything locally as it is not in stock locally so I do not want to be running all over the place today.
So instead I will focus on something around the house today instead. I will do some baking, some cleaning, hoping my vacuum shows up soon so I can test it out.
