I made taco soup in my crockpot overnight, that's tonight's supper. Will have it with shredded cheese and broken nacho chips on top! No beer though.

Supper today will be real easy. Every second Wednesday i volunteer organize Military Whist for the elderly and i also provide sandwiches, crudities (raw vegies) and dip, dessert, coffee, tea, etc. We finish about 4:00 and then eat. I get $30 for buying and making the food. So thats what we are having for supper tonight. I dont provide the food all the time. Next time it is someone elses turn. And i will just organize the game.

I put the crockpot on around 8 last night, then woke up around 3:30 and turned it off. Came down at 6 this morning and took it out of the pot and into a glass dish (still fairly warm) and it sat on the counter until about 7. A food safety expert would probably have a heart attack, but I've not killed or even sickened anyone yet!

Thx, Zonny, I just was curious. I'm no angel when it comes to food safety, either, and we're all alive!

Last night we had pizza, I went home and went to go get everything needed to make pasta out of the stockpile when mom announced she was ordering pizza. Hopefully one day I can break this take out habit.
Kind of drives me insane, mom can eat pizza once a week and I get sick of it long before she does.
Tonight, who knows we will see when I get home. I am thinking pasta but we will see once I get home.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

For once I'm actually stuck on what to have for dinner. I really want roasted sweet potato and spinach salad but not sure what to have with it. DS will only eat the sweet potatoes from the salad he doesn't like raw leafy greens.

Most likely it will be a repeat of last night which was a huge green salad(filled with MIL's garden fixins') with a few Janes chick strips on top as requested by DH. I also have a ton of eggs so a quiche is in the works soon. Even though my sciatic is on fire I will try and make those blueberry cinnamon rolls that I was planning on making for Tuesday since the girls at DH's work are begging me

Oven baked chicken thighs with Kraft extra thick and rich original BBQ sauce on it. Not sure what with. Maybe fried zucchini with garlic and some cherry tomatoes (from the garden) thrown in at the end. Have it all with pasta?
We had a thunder storm last night, so I'm a little hesitant to raid the garden to make a salad (too muddy).
edit: was given about 10 larger pickling cucumbers, so I peeled one of those to add to supper. It was pretty good too.Last edited by Angela273; Thu, Sep 19th, 2013 at 01:26 PM.
