Did anyone already mention that National Grilled Cheese Day is today?
I completely forgot about whilst Loocie went on her merry old way,
At least you don't have to bicker of what kind of sandwich to make,
& some people like a grilled cheese made from a cheese product that is fake,
Some people dip it in ketchup & to that I turn my head,
Some people use cheese that is grated & pickled peppers that are red,
Some people like to use a nippy cheese to put a bit of zing in their bite,
If you don't know what to make for dinner, than make it a grilled cheese night,
You can even use cheese whiz & that is a product that is smeared,
& if you are a guy in ZZ Top, you'll get crumbs in your beard,
Garnish your grilled cheese with apple slices or a handful of potato chips,
Make your grilled cheese in a special way that will make you smack your lips!

Tonight I didn't know what we were going to have, did not plan ahead for today specifically. I thought about pizza. But I did plan ahead awhile back when ground beef was on sale and made meatballs, cooked them and froze them. A few meatballs, a jar of sauce, some noodles and voila, it was supper!

Last night was pasta, meat sauce over pasta.
Tonight was roast beef, mashed potatoes and steamed veggie mix. Mom was home and I had a rough day, needed me some comfort food.

I don't even like avocado, but supposedly it's good for you. I do like bacon, I'm not sure of it's health benefits.

I am with you on the avocado, I hear how good it is for me but I just cannot eat it.
Germany has so many good candies, growing up our relatives used to send us boxes and boxes of German candies, Oma would keep them in the bar in her sitting room and use them to "pay" us for helping her around the house or garden. We no longer get boxes of candies from Germany but even though we are all grown my step mom goes to German store every year and puts German candies on and in our presents. So happy to see SDM now sells these as I never make it to the local German store.
