who can resist whole fresh chickens under $6.00 each? ( ty NF! ) Bought 2 and hacked off the legs and wings to par cook and crisp them in hot oil first, then brush with bbq sauce and finish them in the oven. The bird bodies were rubbed all over with about 10 different herbs and roasted. I cannot believe was still able to pick green beans from out back this a.m. ( about 35 long beans ) The plants that keep on giving! The cherry tomatoes are so slow to turn red but are so sweet as they do.
There are other things cooked to eat, so these chickens will be just another option. Everyone is on their own schedule again.

I've got steak marinading and I've chopped up veggies. Some will be steamed and some in a salad. It was a case of use them or throw them out.

Last night we had Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Mushrooms and Onions
Tonight it is much cooler here, the temp really dropped so I am making Beef Stews with a Mott's Garden Cocktail base with carrots & potatoes. Also made the dough to make some Potato Bread Rolls and going to add some cheese to some. Perfect for this chilly night
