What's For Dinner?

..made a jumbo salad and added some of the leftover chicken from yesterday

* I had the oddest experience today. I was travelling and stopped for lunch had a sandwich, etc and a can of pop..an older gentleman, I'm guessing 70-75 came in and ordered a meal, sat not too far from where I was sitting and when I was getting ready to leave I took the tab off the pop can (as they collect them here for wheelchairs) and the same gentleman asked if there was anything left in the can. I said yes, its half-full, he asked if he could have it I said sure...so he took it and tipped it on his head, and drank it, a complete stranger..and then he left ..huh!?! ...I did use a straw but it kinda made me blink a couple of times....

He just might be a person that likes a smaller serving of pop (mini-can) and he's from an era where you lived with germs and did the best you can. A decade younger than my father but sounds similar in thinking. Guess he thought he'd ask anyway and see if he would get some pop for free.

Dinner was a bag of Selection tortilla rounds chips (320g bag on sale for $1.88-woohoo) followed by a juicy Golden Delicious apple. It was a change from the usual dinner.

bought chinese bbq pork and sausages as toppings for noodle soup and more baby bok choy. Then used leftover bbq pork, leftover (refrigerated) rice, green onion, eggs and green peas and turned it into a fried rice.

Wow ! That man must been thirsty for some pop and couldn't afford buy one .. but usually those people would ask you buy one or give them some money so he could buy one .. not take one you were drinking from .. all kinds of people out there make up world . Maybe you made his day for him by giving him remaining of your pop .

Wow ! That man must been thirsty for some pop and couldn't afford buy one .. but usually those people would ask you buy one or give them some money so he could buy one .. not take one you were drinking from .. all kinds of people out there make up world . Maybe you made his day for him by giving him remaining of your pop .

Last night made a stir fry using Ground Pork, Carrots, Celery, Red & Yellow Peppers, Bean Sprouts, Mushrooms and Green Onion over rice. I used Soya Sauce, Hoisin, Ginger, Garlic, Sesame Oil and Saracha.

Tonight I am thinking maybe a one pan roast but will update later in the day when I have a better idea.

I have a bunch of veggies in the fridge that need to be used so probably a stir-fry this evening

Today I'm hoping to make chicken soup with dumplings and zucchini dill biscuits. Our son has soccer tonight so he and Dh need to be out the door by 5:30, so I need to have supper ready and waiting when he walks in the door tonight.

edit: I also made a 9x13" pan of my healthier monster cookie squares. There are lots of leftovers.

Decided on BBQ Chicken Chunks (I use a Dry BBQ Rub), with roasted potatoes and Salad

Roasted pork tenderloin with roasted potato,peas,salad gravy with chives.
Smells flippen good in here.

Rigatoni with cheese sauce, grape tomatoes, zucchini, and Tabasco kicker for that little extra something

Tonight I used the 1 package of ribs I bought when Giant tiger had them on sale for $5.00..and a couple egg rolls lol.
