Last night’s supper was roast ham, potato and onion baked in a foil packet, crescents, and canned pineapple.

It’s been so hot and that plays havoc with my appetite. I eat a few bites and then lose interest so quickly, although I’m aware that I’m not eating enough right now, I’m trying to cook yummy food in order to pique my appetite. So tonight I’m grilling jumbo prawns along with Caesar salad.

BBQ hotdogs here, too, with beans.

Anyone notice a difference in canned beans? We most often buy Heinz, but today's ones in tomato sauce weren't saucy at all, just in a thin liquid. Tasted okay, but different.

..I made lasagna, in the oven baking now..that will cover dinner for a couple of evenings and some for the freezer...I made chocolate fudge yesterday but it didn't set properly (didn't cook it enough I guess) but its rich and creamy & delicious, so I have a vanilla cake in the oven as well which will be smothered with the chocolate

Great way to salvage the fudge! Would be good with vanilla ice cream too.

I wonder if I eat dinner later than usual, that my appetite will increase. We used to eat between 7 and 8 and lately it’s closer to 6:00, so tonight I’m planning dinner for 8:00, after we get home from pickleball. I made sugar free dressing for the coleslaw, a potato salad and I’m making burgers(a mix of ground sirloin beef and ground pork) to grill later. Is anyone finding this hot weather is kiboshing the appetite ?
