Takeout from a '50s diner, what a surprise to get the Ukrainian special. Farmers sausage (really good, charred on grill), perogies with fried onions, bacon, and sour cream, and a huge container of borscht, which was homemade and quite yummy.
I thought that would be all, but when husband went, he found out they had cabbage rolls so he added two for me. Unfortunately, they were not good, they were German style, rice mushy and too much cabbage.
However, overall a win. I ate half of all except the cabbage rolls, which I will freeze for my son.

Supper and bedtime snack we’re both in the middle of an unplanned 6hr power outage that was caused by a nasty storm. I quickly grabbed some things from the fridge in order to have “supper” with everyone picking different things. I made tuna salad on a home made bun with a glass of milk and sliced cucumber. Two of our kids had leftover pancakes from lunch. Dh has dry itchyban noodles plus crackers with cheese, which he shared with some of our children. The kids ate graham crackers with peanut butter, unsweetened apple sauce cups, and milk for bedtime snack.

Last night was retirement dinner # 1 for my boss. We went to a nice little restaurant, I had Chicken with Roasted Potatoes and Mixed veggies but I have to say the best was the dessert. I had the Creme Brulee and oh my, they make it in the restaurant and it was one of the best vanilla custards I have ever had.

Last night was Retirement Dinner # 2 and we went to the Keg and it was a larger group this time. I had the Teriyaki Steak with mixed veg, loaded baked potato and Cesar salad and skipped dessert

Thanks, I felt better today then was left with a dilemma, to eat normally or not? Tummy was growling all day.
Husband was really hungry so he went to pickup food, me knowing I wouldn't eat much but I wanted real food. So I had half a pork cutlet, some fries, green and yellow beans, a few slices carrots and maybe the other veggies was squash? It was sliced though, I always think of squash as mush, but it was good.
Anyway made sure I just ate enough, but it was tempting to have more. We tried a new to us greek place.

Glad you are feeling better natalka. It sounds like you ate enough to get some nutrition. Yesterday we went to a festival downtown. Enjoyed myself immensely at the beer garden😉and noshed on pizza and cupcakes...very yummy. Made a green salad for dinner because we were both so full from snacking all day. Today the kids are taking us out to a sushi place for lunch(Father’s Day request).
