What's For Dinner?

Big splurge today, BBQ t-bone steaks from Sobeys weekend sale, shoestring fries, veggies.

They are huuuuge, we will see what inroads we will make with them.

Yesterday we visited some friends and they made a lovely dinner. A smoked ham, scalloped potatoes and a big salad. Homemade blueberry cheesecake....so delicious!

BTW, yesterday's steaks were amazingly tender and delish. Glad we bought two more for another time.

Tonight, son is here for supper. He came after lunch to help us sort some household stuff, what a hon!

I made a huge roaster of pork chops in a mushroom, onion, garlic sauce to be served over curry rice.
For the men I made a salad of green onions, cucumber, and radishes with a sour cream dressing. I had yum yum pickles.

There is lots of food left, so there will be enough for son to take and have for several meals.

.....yesterday we had a lovely surf n turf dinner...when lobster was in season I bought a few+ extra , cooked them and put in the freezer so yesterday they just needed to be steamed and they were just as delicious, dipped in lots of melted butter..this evening bbqing homemade burgers and have squid thawing to make calamari...my visitors are here for only 2 more days ....lots of brewskies, breezers and pinot grigio, might even be a couple of Black Horse beer left

Fried chicken and KD

Leftover pork chop and steak, husband had leftover perogies, I had some of Green Giant garden veggie medley. The latter was okay, but I wouldn't get it again because it took too long to pick out the red peppers (husband ate them).

Last night was Steak Fajita bowls with Mushrooms & Peppers over Rice with a Creamy Salsa Dressing and Cheese, cannot forget the cheese.

Tonight I am not sure yet I should go shopping after work but should and doing are two different things.

DH did up some of the Basa fillets yesterday. Mmmm

Potato salad with fresh pea pods and radishes from the garden and double smoked sausage.

Perogies with sauteed onions and lots of dill, husband also had sausage - it was too spicy for me. It's no name Ukrainian ring.
BTW, the best bought perogies we have found so far are best value from giant tiger.

Supper courtesy of Sobeys tonight. They had the BBQ chicken meal for 15.99 including large wedges, salad, and four butter buns. Got a coleslaw, as well as potato salad and onion rings because son came over for supper.

We have enough leftovers for tomorrow, son went shopping today so he didn't want more food.
