Kinda tired of making meatless meals, so for the first time ever we had meatless takeout Chinese food - just shrimp and chow mein.
Tonight - Ukrainian Easter feast! Well, we'll start at brunch, and have the same foods for supper! That's detailed in the what's for Easter dinner thread...

Last night a friend took us on a tour of Scottsdale with a car service
First we went to a place called The Sanctuary for drinksand we got to sorta see a wedding!
here it is : http://www.sanctuaryoncamelback.com/content/index.html?
then we went to the Village Tavern for dinner http://www.villagetavern.com/index.cfm. WOW! YUMMY. We started with the Ahi Tuna Sashimiand the Spinach Dip
2 had the 16oz Prime Rib, 1 had the Pan Seared Scallops and I had the Grilled Meatloaf and it was so freakin' amazing!!!
Then we went to the Hyatt http://www.scottsdale.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp for an amazing walk around the pools (there are 2.5 acres of them!) and we got to watch the Spanish dancers and listen to some great music.
Do I really have to come home???? I don't wanna

harbie, that sounds amazing! I wouldn't want to go home either!
Tonight for dinner we had wild sockeye salmon marinated with a hot mustard/mayonnaise/soya sauce/maple syrup marinade, then breaded and grilled in olive oil. We had mashed potatoes, cucumber tomato salad, and baked maple glazed carrots for the sides. Oh, and a glass of wine too. It was delicious! We went for a nice hour long walk through the gardens and parks on Harbourfront afterwards, and now I am back home and getting back to the reality of studying, haha.

Believe it or not we had fish and chips with roasted parsnips, baked sweet potato, mushrooms and celery.First time no turkey at Easter but it was very nice all the same.
Be a little kinder than necessary, remember everyone is fighting their own battles.

we had a baked spiral ham, roast potatoes and peas...desserts were butter tarts and a mock pecan pie that uses oats instead of the nuts, was delish!

We'll be having 'leftovers' from yesterday - but no complaints there, with the ham, sausage, Easter breads, etc. To add to it, I'm making cabbage rolls today.

Mmm cabbage rolls. I have had them all my life but never made them before. Are they hard to make?
I don't know what I'm having for dinner tonight. A few people from university are coming over tonight to go over notes and whatnot for an exam we have tomorrow morning, so we'll probably end up ordering something.
