Nothing. I wasn't hungry, I hate cooking and I'm home alone again. I did have a bowl of cereal later though, that hit the spot. Which reminds me, I better go cut out the ice cream coupon since I finished it off!

Tonight was just Tuna Pasta Salad since it's so hot. Hubby brought home a nice surprise from work today. He moved to a different section at work, and the old section gave him a gift of a framed Photo of the entire squadron, card, mini winnie the pooh bear, and a gift card ($50) for our fav German restaurant 'Gasthaus Gutenberger' which we will enjoy next week sometime. I am just totally losing my appetite with all the heat

Despite a thunderstorm, my sweet husband barbecued in the rain - what a honey!
We had M&M Meatshops teriyaki sirloins (my fave!), foil packet potatoes and onions; stirfried onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and broccoli. Am I full? You betcha, I ate a whole steak, all 170g - never did that before! Mind you, it's the first steak of the summer, and first we have had since last summer!

oh Nat that sounded so appetizing! We certainly don't eat anywhere near the steaks we would like to, ( too expensive for the ones we like , ha ha ) so when we do have one, man they are good! Dinner tonight was " to each their own! " Mom was busy. lol

Too hot to cook. I ordered pizza, whole wheat thin crust, artichoke, spinach and sundried tomatoes, extra sauce, no cheese (I know. I'm weird). I justified it by reminding myself how much I used to spend on groceries.

craftythumbs, that sounds great - I've never had it.

We had takout pizza - all dressed. Thought my husband was going to be away so I didn't plan a meal, so I went for a nap. He didn't go, and there was nothing for me to cook!
Gah, very rare for us to do takeout twice in a week!

the most amazing meal, it was arabic food i think, and had lamb and i ate it!!

i tried a bit of lamb once and i really desliked it.

i don't know the name of the dish i had tonight so i'll describe it!
this meal today was a soft, white, unleavened flatbread that was served shredded. there was this lamb stew that smelled amazing. it was lamb, carrots, taters and onion. then there was this orange puree served on the side. no clue what it was, perhaps root veggies or squash?

no clue what it was called, or what it really was but it was amazing!

The circular rice paper is stiff and you just place the circle in warm water, then lift out all soft and fill and roll up! Talk about an easy appetizer to serve.
For the filling I just threw together some vermicelli thin noodle mixture that was leftover, added chopped cooked shrimp, shredded carrot, some bean sprouts to it, and a dab of the 5 asian spice (VH sauce).
I like mine with plum sauce but I know you are supposed to serve with a spiced up rice vinegar dip. Anyone else ever tried making these?
    YUM!!!

do you have a recipe? they look delish!
