From what I saw at Costco, a single (big) leg was over $10 (I think). I can get a whole lobster for $6. I rarely see it in regular grocery stores, but maybe because i don't look for it.

When I was in NFLD last year I was able to buy 1lb blocks of all crab meat for $10.00!! It was so good and fresh! I brought a few back and used them to make out of this world crab dips or mini crab cakes.

Ah, I've only had a bit of crab legs once at a restaurant, sure would be awesome to try, but gosh the price is prohibitive! One of the few drawbacks of being on the prairies!

My son is 21 and hasn't had lobster - he's just dying to try it. I have only ever had lobster tail a few times, and love them - but, gosh, haven't had any for like 25 years, oh my!

Last night was a cooking lesson for my son - it's nice when there is extra time on weekend evenings!

It was simple, but adds to his skills - spaghetti and tomato meat sauce.
So he sauteed and seasoned the ground pork, and learned how to drain off the fat. Just added a jar of tomato sauce to it.
Also a lesson on 'al dente' spaghetti cooking.
He did a great job, and supper was yummy!

Tonight, chicken 'something' - not sure what I'll do with a whole one yet.

its a nice day here, a little cool but I just threw a potato packet on the bbq (potatoes, S&P, rosemary olive oil) and will grill a couple of strip loins to go with it. Also have a mushroom packet to put on with the steaks (mushrooms, minced onion, a little flour, spices & sour cream, REALLY GOOD!) and will sautee some baby spinach in garlic oil which only takes a couple of mins.

Homemade chop suey !! Tastes so good !! I made enough for at least 4 meals (In another life I had a family of 6+ maybe ) I should leave some for my mom but I'm sure she'll tell me '' but there's no meat ?!? '' even if she knows perfectly that I'm vegan lol sometimes I add meat in her plate when I'm cooking but not always !
