What's For Dinner?

Dear Dinner thread:

When last we spoke I was in need of some spuds for a clam chowder.
Bought a 10 lb. bag on Saturday at NF for a decent price. ( think it was under $2.00 ) and had the chowder all made before dinner time and served it with Red Lobster pkg cheese biscuits made in a cast iron pan ( think ONE large biscuit )

This time at the very end of making the chowder I added 2 Tbsp Red Wine vinegar and 1/2 cup Brandy. I had 2 different recipes and each one suggested one of these ingredients so I added them both! ha ha

It was so delicious but sadly, now it is all gone.

Everyone else here is having left overs from the week end but i am having canned ham, canned potatoes, and canned corn. My family would never think about touching this but its a fav from way back and i never get to have it very often any more

Same here, haven't made it in ages!

Last night ordered from Pizza 73 - a buffet, really: all dressed pizza, shrimp, chicken wings, curly fries, onion rings. I had ordered just an individual onion rings, since my husband doesn't eat them, but they sent a family-sized box for the same price.
I wanted to get enough for two suppers, but there is much more left, portions were very generous.

Tonight will be yellow corn tortillas with ground beef and a selection of veggies and cheeses. Simple, fast, and delicious.

Showed this to my wife who is a huge cabbage fan and she asked me to find the recipe. Found it and printed it and the best part is we have everything but the cabbage. I have a feeling that is in my dinner plans soon.

Tonight is Dorito taco salad. Actually really good

We were going to BBQ a steak but the wind has come up so we are now turning it into beef stroganoff at DH's request-he thinks the flame will keep blowing out.
