I make diaper cakes! Now that I'm a couponer it's even better because I always get good deals on diapers and J&J stuff so I can charge more. The only picture I have is my very first diaper cake, so it's a little rough. LOL.

gorgeous Ashokia.
I've started doing card classes again once a week. It's so nice to get crafty again. I've really missed it.

I make beaded jewelry and ribbon roses. I've been making a lot of them for decorations for my upcoming wedding I also use them to make hair clips. I'm also making some upside-down planters out of empty 2L pop bottles. I saw a tutorial online and thought I'd try it out, since I'm growing a bunch of tomato plants (the seedlings are already started and I'll be able to transfer them to the planters soon!). I also sew a little bit, but I'm still learning.

Goodness, it took forever to find this thread!
I didn't make this recently, but about a dozen years ago - just never took pics of it - and now I'm packing it away.
It is a Hutzul vest, made by me for my son when he was Ukrainian dancing. Hutzul is one region of Ukraine they did dances from. It was paired with a blousy big white shirt with embroidery down the front of neck, cinched with a very wide leather belt; red pants and funky handmade leather shoes which tied up the ankle (not made by me, but a local crafter).
The vest itself is fleece, with felt appliques, trimmed with real Persian lamb - I'm no great sewer and it was the first time for me sewing with invisible thread.

Wow, thanks to all of you who messaged me about the above Ukrainian Hutzul vest - I was very proud that I actually did it - amazing what one will do out of necessity; we sure didn't have megabucks to have someone make it for our son.

Nat, that's another reason I wish we had a "home-making" or "crafting" or whatever topic for those of us tho like to share our talents, ideas, etc, not just for Christmas...I know many of us do crafty things all year around!!!
PLEASE, may we have such a topic, or whatever it's called? It's so frustrating trying to find this little thread, which is why I started a Christmas crafty one....help?

Made my coronation street obsessed grandmother a beadloomed bookmark for Christmas. Gave it to her early, she loved it.

That's awesome, Kitten! I was on the CBC shop online earlier this week, and they had no Corrie stuff at all - they used to.

Made this for my eldest brother, Robert. they are characters from the 4 main games we played together as kids, [Super Mario 3, legend of Zelda: link to the past, final fantasy 6 and chrono trigger]. Took about 7 weeks. I tried to stick to the same colour scheme was the original game screenshots but.. yeah.. I tried, lol. cross stitched on 18 count aida cloth. Had to take lots of breaks [wearing over the skull magnifying glasses, headaches; and stabbing every single finger multiple times..very badly once that I had to stop because it bled badly and I didn't want to stain the cloth] making this but it was worth it.. I actually got a hug..lol
I stitched this up on 16-count aida, Christmas eve 'afternoon' [lol]. As a very last minute gift for Roberts wife, Melissa. Hello kittys bow is green because it's her favourite colour. The beads looked nice until my dad smooshed the cross stitch into the frame.. tight squeeze but he for it in and I wasn't taking it out, lol.
