seems we both have awesome sisters! Providing healthy snacks and groceries for you while babysitting for her earns her the top Sister prize!
Congrats on your sis and you joining forces! My own sis and I really helped each other a few years back to lose weight. All done by email and phone calls as we don't live nearby each other. The best of luck to you two!
lol!! I was just typing out my reason not to go out today and laughed at your successful no spend day. Congrats.
you know what's so odd about Cheez Whiz? I HATE process cheese slices, never eat them, NOT even from a burger place ( I always say NO Cheese! ) I call them plastic cheese and yet my guys eat them all the time but they don't like Cheez Whiz. ha ha
If the day ever arrives where I lose my DH, or my 2 DS's ....well I'd be at the mercy of whatever tech service is out there. I cannot even understand how they set anything up when we bring a new device home. My brain just doesn't work the same as theirs. AND yet I can cook circles around the best of them, juggling 5-6 entrees all made at the same time. Go figure?
tee hee, My DH was supposed to make his famous chx Parm tonight but considered the oven being on and these hot temps. Now he says he'll split the breasts in half, herb them up and toss them on the BBQ. Seems you're planning the same. Enjoy!

good on you ( about your treadmill ) . I JUST invested in a squat machine. Used my birthday amazon GC's to buy. It's harder to do than it looks ( even though it is simply pull up and go back down ) My quad muscles are still aching today.
Never heard it called that before, going forward it'll now be referred to as my " girl dinner " . ha ha I do enjoy a nosh of " this and that " rather than a big plate of one thing.
lol!! Hiding the Triscuit crackers? I DO remember the days I had to hide plenty of foods from my teen boys. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
my DH is THE biggest PITA when it comes to meals. I'll ask him " what would you like for dinner " ? nearly every time he wants a recipe that we have NONE of the ingredients for in the house?!! I'll remind him again to look in the freezer at what meat we have, check the fridge for veg, check the storeroom...he forgets that we don't NEED to buy anything new. Otoh, he is an amazing cook! ha ha
your New Year's energy is awesome! I agree 100% on your plan to use up what you have and buy less groceries. We are in that same mindset. Good luck.
employers giving employees free turkeys? I think I want to cry! Reminds me of A Christmas Carol movie...ha ha That is so cool for your DS.
Hi there! As it sounds like a great deal, what is a Thanksgiving snack box? was it some promo for Thanksgiving?
I use a large 1.5 Litre jar of roasted red peppers to make a large batch of pureed cauliflower/roasted red pepper soup. The yield is 30 x 1 cup servings, so the sodium is minimal really. I've tried 2 different brands, S & F and Fino. A 30 gram serving of these jarred peppers contains 130 mg of sodium. I never buy canned soups for myself, they are ridiculous with sodium, however my guys eat them at work sometimes. Good on you for roasting your own peppers!
ha ha ! I also remember strange people who stood in line at Mandarin for hours! You nailed it, what a colossal waste of a day! Jury is still out about NF. I'll drive over 15 min. before they open but if there are more than 100 people in line I'll head back home. ha ha ( good thing it is so close to me. )
Thank so much for thinking of me with the Violife coupons <3. I was shocked when I saw them at my NF (and of course I stocked up on them )
noticed your soup post about roasted red pepper. Believe it or not that soup was never on our radar until we had a bowl of it at Kelsey's ( of all restaurants? ) . They no longer have it on their menu, but I've graduated to a rstd red pepper/cauliflower version that I make extra spicy by adding cayenne, smoked paprika and turmeric. I always puree it after cooking. So good.
i know eh? I did the calculations on the small hummus cups and thought ....all 12 for $5.00 ? woo hoo. Hope your WM has it!
ty for your comment about Lose It. It took me getting totally annoyed with myfitnesspal to start looking around for another one. I'm really going to try hard this go around to drop the rest of this awful weight! My sisters both laughed at the Lose It prediction on how long it will take to drop that remaining weight and we all agreed how tough it will be to get through all the Holidays and birthdays between now and then. ha ha
Your first cruise!!?? Congrats!!! No kids right?, just you girls maybe? We took our 3 on the Cruise ( a million years ago ) and I was always trying to see where they went! Very nervous the whole time, well, until the drinks were served ha ha . Plus the eating is 24/7, was so hard to stay on any diet at all. I hope your cruise is a fantastic experience!
ty so much for the camaraderie regarding living with others who just don't see or clean their messes in the kitchen. lol I am calmer now thank goodness.
I hear ya about the kitchen being trashed. I wake up to that often when DH gets into his pasta and meat sauce making mode in the middle of the night! lol
lol! yes, fridge clean out pasta! I'll be damned if I'll allow my mushrooms, broccoli and other stuff to wrinkle up. The guys loved the taste of it too!
They arrived today! Thank you so much for the coupons. Send me the coupons you’re using and I’ll send you them if I find any. Thanks again
Well I did indeed intend to leave rep but the wee screen on my phone got the better of me! Anyhow I was going to wholeheartedly agree with your take on shovelling snow and how quickly the novelty wears off! Enjoy the beauty of it, keep it all where you are. Have a great week!
ty for the weight loss encouragement, it sure does NOT get easier the older I get. Our fridge has been overcrowded most of the summer with watermelon too! The stores have had such awesome sales, and the insides of each one were so juicy and red we kept buying another and another....lol
regarding my NF spinach haul today, they did have smaller bags of spinach on for $1.99, which IS also a sale but a quick math calculation made me realize the big bag had more in it, even if I bought 4 of the smaller bags to reach $8.00, it was still less spinach. Sometimes I get too involved in what is in the fridge, but as you say the guys grab what is dead centre in front of them! ha ha
Hats off to you for using up your sweet and sour sauce from takeout up in another meal!
ty! wrt the shrimp being sauteed in butter, garlic and ginger and tossed into that Chinese rice mixture, I cannot take credit, DS made the shrimp suggestion! I just wish I'd made more rice. Enjoy your weekend!!
