Believe it or not, my grandmother didn't have any chemo. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 1976 and at that time she just had radiation treatments. I was VERY young when all this was happening so I really don't know all the details. I know it went into remission for sometime, but then came back when I was older. She again had more radiation but it was not enough, but she still refused chemo. I can only assume her case was very slow to progress and responded well to radiation the first time around...I know the doctors were amazed that she batted it over 18 years, considering most of the time frames are only 2-5 years. I wish you all the best, and you will be in my thoughts.

Oh nagem, so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope you're doing ok. Sounds like she was a great mom.

sounds like you still in shock, which i've felt too,,,,,
not sure if you believe in 'signs' (not even sure that's the right word),
but i noticed when my mom,,, certain oddities around that time.
rose bush that hadn't bloomed that summer did, weird rainbow
when her second gd was born. i was in shock/numb when i saw
these and felt she was around, close, helped a bit,,,,
sending good thoughts and hugs,,,and a rainbow,

she fell and broke her hip and had surgery to fix it. she then caught pneumonia in the hospital and is on a respirator
