I am thankful that my DD who is 19 is now going to Europe for a month will now be part of a tour group as opposed to "back packing" it with a few friends . I was ready to lose a month of sleep and know that I know she is in a more "controlled" enviroment; I may only need to keep one eye open rather than two.

I'm so grateful for SC and all the people on it - most especially for days when I have difficulty with mobility and can't do a heck of a lot more - keeps me from vegging in front of the tv....

Again, so very thankful for my son who can boost me up with just a few words.

I thought today was his day off work, so I wasn't going to awaken him, but he was up when I went to wake up my husband.
Son went downstairs to get his work clothes, and he wasn't coming back up for a long time, so I hollered for him - and he sheepishly came up, he had stopped at the couch and fallen asleep!
He zipped to have a shower, and when he came out, I told him his lunch was ready to take, so he knew he didn't have to make time to do it.
So, ready for work, he comes to me for a big hug and kiss and a "What would I ever do without you?"
I said, well, you'd muddle through somehow, but he said it wouldn't be as good, lol!

I heart my sweet little boy (who towers over me, sheesh!).

I am thankful for having some warmth and sunshine - its been cold and rainy the past couple of days and the sun is a welcome visitor!

I am thankful because I just had my 25 1/2wk pre-natal appointment and doctor is happy. I have gained 1lb in the last 4weeks, which my husband will be disappointed about. I currently weigh 6lbs less now that I did before I got pregnant. Doctor is willing to put me on medical leave as soon as I am willing to stop working. I am a full-time teacher, so I am trying to finish out the school year (3wks to go). If we are concerned about fetal growth, doctor is willing to send me in for another ultrasound, but measurements all look great at this point.

For a daughter who phoned and asked, "Want to hear what a schmuck I am?", to which I replied, "Always!"...
To which she replied, "I was driving to Best Buy, and saw a sign next to that construction there, that read, 'Towne Shoes'...Mom...I had two tears rolling down my cheeks."

Does she love her shoes??!! I should take a picture of her shoe closet one day!! How many stilettos does one girl need?!
And she wears them to work every day.
Oh, yes, for sure I've read her the riot act about hips, back, bunions, achilles tendons, heel spurs....she just says it comes with the territory, and if she ever needs surgery, she's fine with that! WHAT'S a Mom to do??!!!!!

I am dark everyday Wish I had a med. that would help my headache I have had it every day for over 6yrs now. So tired of this life
I come to this thread to try to find something positive to be thankful for in my life. Still searching...

I'm thankful my daughter did not break her foot after all. Instead, it's a very bad sprain--which still sucks--but it sucks less than having to wear a cast all summer and to cancel all the swimming lessons, the horse riding lessons, and to put the brand new bike she just got for her birthday into storage.

Phew!

(I was pretty stressed there for a while when I was awaiting the news!)
