we made little piggy chinese steamed buns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v75GxCAoOw
they turned out perfect!
i've been looking for an easy recipe that does not involve me kneading because of my wrists
i am not even an average baker so i'm very happy they turned out just like the video and my DD#2 loved them
i've made chinese and vietnamese steamed buns with meat filling before so i guess it helped
next time, we will cut up hotdog and cube cheese to put on the inside
pic #1 before steaming

pic #2 after steaming - they doubled in size

yesterday i made a Pain au Bluets et Citron (Blueberry and Lemon bread). I think they call it a bread because it is baked in a loaf pan but the texture is like a cake. Not at all sweet but very tastey!.

@flemeth I found this site yesterday https://kolchakpuggle.com/2016/02/ea...t-recipes.html
I have a dehydrator but if you don't just use your oven and set it on 160 or the lowest it will go down to and check oftenLast edited by Thatdone; Sun, Apr 5th, 2020 at 02:02 PM.

Our 7yr old son is learning how to bake and I’m his helper. Last week he baked banana chocolate chip muffins and peanut butter cookies. He donated some of the peanut butter cookies to essential workers in our community.
edit: ds has helped me bake in the kitchen since he was 2yrs old. He is now a very strong reader and school is closed. Getting him to bake independently is a great life skill. He has to read, do math, measure, follow the instructions, etc. All of our children were involved, ds is our oldest and he was in charge.Last edited by Angela273; Mon, Apr 6th, 2020 at 10:38 PM.

Ds was in change of the cookies today. They were basic ones with a mini-Hershey’s chocolate in the middle of each one. I found them bland.
