Tonight is tofu stirfry. I am mariading the tofu in a mixture of tons of minced ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and a touch of honey! Mmmmm it smells so yummy. I will grill the tofu seperately so it get a bit of a "crust" on it and then the veggies and thicken up the marinade

    Red Lobster.
At lest once a year to remind myself that eating everything deep fried in one meal is not a good idea.
    Not good at all.

Don't worry Lynn49. I would never serve those to anyone or consume them.

My late mother was famously known for overcooking everything, burnt toast was her specialty. She used to try & fool us by holding the toast over the sink & trying to scrape the burnt parts off with a butter knife.

Well I cannot find the person who posted the recipe for Quinoa burgers to thank them , but I actually went out and bought a bag of quinoa, and made DD and I two
    " burgers" each.
I gotta say, the recipe had ingredients listed that were never mentioned in the " how to " part of the recipe, like the eggs and cornstarch.

I just figured they wanted you to make a mixture, put 1/2 cup measure into the fry pan to cook them, so I did it like that.
We were both sooo impressed with how delicious they were topped with DH's fresh leaf lettuce from the yard.
We were also lol and making fun of her Dad ( while he was not here of course ) and the fact that he would be saying stuff like " that's NOT a burger! " or if we had offered him one and asked what would he want on it he would probably say " some meat "

Anyways thanks again who posted the link to that recipe. we will be having them again soon.

    I'm almost afraid to ask.

Does it contain bits of former sailors and whatever cargo you can salvage?

Loocie has some good news, but also bad news too,
Cause I like you all so much, I decided to cook for you,
Ribs that were seasoned & smoked,
& BBQ'ed over fire perfectly stocked,
Not too dry & not so sticky that you keep licking your fingers,
The kind that leaves a yummy taste that just lingers,
A nippy potato salad perhaps as a side,
Maybe some veggies just lightly stir fried,
So with that all being said,
I must now inform you with dread,
Perhaps I'm just having a day that is needy,
But Silly Old Loocie got greedy,
    I kept calling dibs,
& I ate all the ribs,
Next time you all better be more speedy.
