Good Morning All,
WOW so much going on. Been popping in when I can but things are a bit insane. We are int eh final stretch leading up to Shut down which is a bit insane especially the number of when will I get my delivery phone calls for next week when we are closed. As well some last minute year end projects to finish up is keeping me busy. Not sure I will get all done by tomorrow but since I can now work at home not an issue I will catch up from there which feels great not to have the pressure, I would love to get it all done but I do not have to panic about it.
Finished up our Christmas shopping last night and other than a quick dash in to grab some eggs no stores until after Christmas is what we decided. Happy to have it done but now it is time to wrap which normally I enjoy but having no where to set up makes these pretty hard but we will figure it out.
The count down is on till Shut Down just today and tomorrow and we are off yippee, I cannot wait although I am sure Monday will be a bit of a shock having no where to be. I am such a routine person, which is weird as I never was but I find the older I get the more my routine needs to be there so Monday could be fun.
Time to get back to work and see how much I can get done over the next two days. Have a great day everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

Good morning, everyone.
Got a call last night from the clinic that something was wonky with my bloodwork. I asked whether it could be that silly infection that keeps coming back uninvited. They weren't sure but wanted me back in to play pincushion this morning. When I got there, I was greeted with "You were right, Dr A, the infection is back". As much as like saying I told you so, I'm starting to get sick of this darn thing. On the plus side, I got some happy pills (well, antibiotics will make me very happy if they kill the darn infection), so the energy level should get back up to normal soon (and here I just thought I'd been overdoing it and that's why I was tired).
Still haven't put up my trees. My helpers are claiming to be too tired to do anything (except when I propose either playtime or a snack). So, better get back to whipping this place into shape (at least I managed to do a thorough vacuuming yesterday, now to get my kitchen in shape). Supposed to have company the next few days so we'll be busy. Well, I'll be busy doing things while the brats entertain (aka beg for treats).
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good evening everyone, everyone is on the run this week, such a busy time of year.
Ashley enjoy the time off, aren't you going to Hawaii this year or was that someone else?
Avon, so sweet of your brother, my best friends daughter has CP and it certainly has it's challenges.
Ciel, you always have such nice posts!!!
Natalka, Coupongirl and Crochetlady, hope your aches and pains are improving.
Welcome home Lizzy , sounds like you will be busy entertaining, enjoy!!
Saundyl, enjoy the road trip and time with your family!
First time I have been out of bed and dressed since Sunday, I managed to get Jayden's flu and man have I been sick, fever chest cough, and oh so dizzy, fever is gone so now to beat the cough and vertigo. and general feeling of crappiness.I think it hit me really hard as I am still recovering from my heart issues, Jayden has been down for a week but went to school today. I am really hoping for a healthier 2015! Obviously they missed the mark on what flu to vaccinate for!

Had a productive day today unlike yesterday when I was too tired to accomplish much. Went to the big boy twins Xmas concert( so cute) and then they sweetly invited me over to their house so I helped with the babies for awhile. Then blood work, filled up the car( for 89.9 per litre at Canadian Tire on a gift card i got at Sobey's for 10% off and then they gave me back 4% in Canadian Tire money)-loving the lower gas prices! Then grabbed some groceries and had received a coupon in the mail last week for a free family size chicken briyana from our local fancy market so stopped and picked that up-I wasn't about to turn down a free dinner). I find it pays me to go through my junk mail-I found a free dinner and $5 off a haricut. Certainly feel more recovered from the plane ride home today!
TG-I sure hope you feel better soon!

Sent DH to Foodland earlier to pick up a loaf of Villaggio for $1.99, used a coupon for $2.00 off so free. Signed DH up for CO51, he made $6.50 with a special referral sign up and I made $1.00. So he actually got paid to leave the store which was new to him.

Hi folks! Thriftygranny - take care - your body's been through a lot lately!
Ashley - 2 weeks off - That's wonderful - now I'll give you my old "principal" talk - Leave that lap-top at work and ENJOY that time off!
macw - Free is great - getting paid to shop - yahoo! - getting husbands in on it - TERRRIFFIC!
Lizzie - I'm amazed that you are shaking off the jet-lag so quickly! When I came back from Beijing - it literally took a couple of weeks before I felt like night was night and not the day!
andit - yuck for the infection! Hope it clears up soon! Let the critters spoil YOU for a change - if only, right?
coupon girl - have you tried Voltarin? It really works for me! Luckily my nephews are almost big enough to pick ME up now - I certainly couldn't heft them!
Well, our gifts to the States are mailed. I couldn't sleep last night so I was wrapping gifts at 2:30 - It's like Catch 22 - not having gifts wrapped is causing me to be sleepless and being sleepless causes me to get them wrapped and then I sleep in and then can't sleep the next night.
When we were taking the ferry over to the States this afternoon, there were 3 "homeless" dogs cruising up and down the line looking for hand-outs. One was obviously a nursing "momma" - a very skinny yellow lab. It touched my heart - so when we were there I bought 2 bags of dog food. The dogs had gone by the time we got back but we talked to the Border Officers and one said that although he is not supposed to, he would take the food and make sure they got fed. I then e-mailed a local "rescue" and am hoping that they can scoop up that momma and her puppies and find them a foster home - and the other 2 as well. One was like a husky cross and the other a very sturdy-looking lab cross. - no collars - no tags.

Avon, did you take the ferry at Sombra? I was raised in a house on the water about 2 blocks from the ferry. Looking back the captain used to let my sister and I jump off the ferry in the summer and we would swim in, don't think that would fly in this day and age!

Today felt odd...my boss left for the day at 11am (emergency trip out of tiwn to the vet) without signing off of reporting or cheques so my job hit a standstill and piddly little busy work kind of jobs. I get 10 days off and then have to be back to do year end.
Making 6 dozen cookies tonight. 3 dozen chocolate chip 2 dozen oatmeal and 1 dozen gingersnap. The oatmeal are for the school party. The chocolate chip and gingersnap are being divided between our critter keepers. One family is keeping Dragon (my dog) and another is keeping scooter (bfs dog)
I got to cuddle the neighbors new baby shes a month old. Soooo sweet and tiny. There are times i really wish i could have my own.Last edited by saundyl; Wed, Dec 17th, 2014 at 09:09 PM.
