I got my dad a grocery bag full of really nice tops, he'll be really pleased, I'll give it to him the next time I see them whenever that will be.

Also got Jaden a pair of Addidas kway pants with a lining....great timing as 1 of his pairs is wearing thin

My best find of the day is a stainless steel coffee percolator that goes on the stove, you fill the base with water then insert coffee grinds and put on stove, we have 1 at the cottage and we love it so I was aw struck when I seen this one which means double the amount of coffee at the cottage

Also got some really cute capris several pairs by GAP, roots, etc need to try them on and see if they fit (finges crossed)

Supper was delicious and well received by everyone.

Wishing everyone a great evening and awesome week ahead!

When Mom carried the laundry downstairs for me we went through our stand up freezer and took out a bunch of stuff to use for dinner this week. Tonight will be a roast chicken (out of the freezer) with roasted baby potatoes (starting to go soft and needed to be used up) with Potato Stuffing (out of the freezer) and candied acorn squash.

We also took out ground turkey, lasagna sheets and spinach which we will add some ricotta that is in the fridge and needs to be used up to make lasagna.

As well found a package of chicken thighs which we will toss in the crock pot and some teryaki sauce to be served over rice one day this week.

I am pretty impressed with what we have come up with so far. After dinner I need to go into thee kitchen and create lunches for this week as last week was horrible, by the time I got off work I was too tired to cook or care so a lot of bad food eaten last week.

SA-nice to see that your Mum can step up to the plate and help you out by doing her share when you are on the injured list. I would be "needing" help for a few weeks in order for her to get used to doing more. She must have managed somehow when you went on vacation and away on your work trips-perhaps all this is helping her see how much you normally do. Hope you feel better soon.

Great to hear you both working together so well, sounds like a great meal plan so far and there may be leftovers for lunches or a leftover dinner or 2

    Good morning, everyone.

Have to rejig my plans for today. Had to reschedule an appt so I can be on hold for hours dealing with beaurocrats. Sigh. I hate incompetence.

On the plus side, I have more time to play with the brats, while listening to endless hours of "your call is important to us" (as if).

Here's hoping I can get everything sorted out this morning, so I can go out to play this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Good Morning all,

Laundry is washed and hanging, hoping with the warmer weather perhaps I will attempt to hang some laundry outside later this week .

I made an 2015 income tax installment payment this morning, hoping this will be the last of them since I have requested my employer take more off, I will follow up next week to see if they've rec'd my request.

Dh went back to bed as he is tired so I am puttering around trying to do things that do not make much noise which oddly is quite difficult given the things I want to do .

Wishing everyone a great & frugal day

i know exactly how you feel Nancy. when dh sleeps during the day, its hard to vacuum and do noisey things.
well its a beauty of a day.
i think i've made a slight boo boo. trying to find out if this week is march break or next week. have a feeling its next and i've neglected to send a child off to school.

for now. im working on a project. dinner is in the crockpot a load of laundry is going. tonite im going with family to visitation/prayers.
dh is getting time off to go tomorrow to the funeral. apparently it will be small and intimate.

    Happy Monday everyone!!
Great shopping Lilo, lots of great deals and coupons used.
Fairly busy week this week, I am working 3 shifts at the bakery, have a doctor's appointment today, and need to get our tax stuff to the accountant, and keep up around the house. The boys are leaving for a four day ice fishing trip up north so I am looking forward to some me time with no menu planning and cooking!!!! We had our big family dinner last night, 16 in total and it was delicious with leftovers for today...yah!!
    meal plan for the week
Today- leftovers of roast beef, roasted baby potatos, popcorn shrimp, potstickers and lots of salad
Tuesday_ Fajitas made with venison, Mexican coleslaw
Wednesday- stir fry to clean out all the bits of veggies in the fridge, will serve over brown rice vermicelli and serve with lime wedges and crushed cashews on top
That is it!!!! I am done cooking for the week, will only do shopping later in the week if it is a smoking deal!!

Purgatory because I can only get Internet access five days per week via library's computers and maximum of 3h of time. It's one month since the home Internet service was discontinued-I had to have DVDs for the first two weekends to get through the absence of online time. Now I find myself reading or getting something done or taking a long walk. I really miss being online daily.

It seems that someone I was acquainted with in the past has recently passed also. Was able to spot mention of her through a church bulletin and figured she was unwell. I checked the obituaries too and saw she had passed on Saturday. She usually took a minute or two to chat if we spotted each other near her survey. Don't know what happened to her cat (rehoused, given away or what-not named in the obit.)
