Good morning, heading up to 17 today but no where to go anyway.
Regarding the Amazon debate, it's unfortunate that the company isn't what we wish it could or should be, but living in a town of 160K, with only a WM which we're all avoiding like, well...the plague ( and hardly a poster- store for staff or save-the-earth practices) , big box stores ( Marshall's, HomeSense/Winners, BB&Beyond, BestBuy, Costco etc), we're still unable to find what's current, what kids want for Christmas in those hit-and-miss stores. Ordering on line is indispensable here. With some people's wallets a little lighter through this covid time, the prices on Amazon are far more attractive. There's no way I could have found the gifts here that I purchased for our family members here. Enter Amazon...generally better prices, free 2-day shipping, and carrying what i need.
Of course I wish those stores were better behaved and in time, with exposure, that may change their practices, but for now it is what it is. I also think of very small, isolated communities with not even a WM, no stores.....free shipping means not paying exorbitant CP rates making all their purchases double what they'd pay in a walk-in store.
I absolutely get your concerns @GoJays , but as Walks posted, wish we could afford to follow our convictions, but for now, our choices are very limited.

Just another manic Monday!
Well, we can't open the front door to our house, we are truly shut in.
Last evening, people with snowmobiles were going down the main drag on this side of the river, just two streets away from us, rescuing people who were stuck.
There was also a big call out for snowmobilers to offer rides for health care workers to get to their night shifts at the three hospitals..
My nursing visit was cancelled, no surprise since I am not urgent.
Today is province wide municipal voting - government gave permission for cities and towns to postpone if they wanted. Saskatoon is letting things go as is, but they may look at other alternatives.
Absolutely crazy out there! Just glad we don't have to go out. Milan was smart and went way earlier to work to avoid morning rush - plus he drives a 4 x 4, winter tires, so he is okay.
Hope you all have a fab day!

I am enjoying the beautiful weather we’re having. Will head out soon for a walk..
Have an book that I will need to return soon so I will sit out on the patio and do some reading today.
Trying to stay away from going to places since the Covid 19 numbers are going up.
Have a great day all
