My sister also possesses that " patriotic " gene wanting the Cup to be here in Canada but I had to remind her that Cory Perry maimed Tavares so NO!! No!! they must forfeit any possibility of a Stanley Cup this year. There's always next year!!
Besides there are a number of players on TB that are Canadian, that's enough for me!! ha ha
I logged in to post about a Royale TP deal at NF but got distracted in here first....catch ya all later!Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Jul 8th, 2021 at 01:14 PM.

Good day!!
Woke up to 11C this morning, great July weather; on the bright side, I don't need the central air running all day, lol...!
Not much going on here, off to camp tomorrow because I really want to see our Daughter's 2 friends who are spending the weekend there with her...they're such wonderful young ladies and I miss seeing them. Our DD is on her way to the island now, her Friend from the Sault is likely at the airport now, waiting for their other Friend to land from ThunderBay, then they'll drive to the island also.
I'm making my Mom's best apple cake to bring for them...they're really squares, but they're the ones that ladies at our church teas just waited for to arrive so that they could buy them...50cents a square and that was quite a lot back in the olden days, lol...! Her aprons got swept up almost before they hit the table, also. Likely why I still love sewing vintage-style aprons.
If anyone wants a stellar apple square recipe, just ask, it's so easy but so incredible and addictive!
Seems to have rained overnight...a few degrees less and there'd be snow on the ground for heaven's sake. It's supposed to clear up for the weekend; hope so, so the girls can relax on the beach.
So the Tokyo Olympics won't have spectators at all? Is that what I heard?? They went from visitors and residents, to just residents, to no one now?
Best choice since covid isn't exactly under control there, which surprises me.
Ok!! Off to do stuff!
Enjoy your day, everyone, rain or shine!!

Just trying something.....I can see it but likely no one else can...again.
However, if you can, these are resin coasters I made...they have glitter and teal and white pearl powders in them, and outlined the edge with my Liquid Chrome pen.
Anyway, just curious if this pic shows up at all for anyone else....

yeppers @Lynn49 I see the picture clearly. Very nice design btw.
I just had to post another pic ( sorry ...of Frankie ) on his new beak scraping thing.
Most birds while on a perch use cuttlebones, but he seems to have a non functioning leg.
DH brought home this sandpaper like block and he loved it right away, stood on it, started rubbing his head back and forth over the rough surface.
I never held him at all today, just prepped his worms, plopped them in the cage every few hours and he fed himself. They really do grow up so fast!

Thank you, @GoJays , @flemeth , @walkonby ! When it gets warmer here, I want to go outside to mix up more resin to play with. I have an idea to make 'chimes' that'll hang from a nice, thick branch with mono line to hang here at camp.
There are not enough days for all the stuff I want to do with resin, my Cricut...I have to get a start on making Christmas cards...! Never boring at my house!
@walkonby , we'll never tire of Frankie! He's adorable even though he always looks like he's judging me. 😅 It's that face, hahaha! I dont think I'd ever put him down if I picked him up!
Lovely here today, our DD's girlfriends are here and they gave me such big hugs!! It's so nice to hug again, I could just squish them! Still a cool 20, but they'll set themselves up on the beach even though the water will be too cold to float around on that big yellow mat we gave our GS for his b'day. Of course the boys are home for the weekend.
Have an absolutely lovely weekend, everyone!
