    yep, Murphy's law again. I shopped at just one store ( Food Basics ) mainly to grab some of the Red Prince apples that are finally here only to discover that this Scarborough locationdid not advertise them in THEIR flyer. How could I know that? I never got my flyers!! argh!!!
    So tomorrow it is off to the Food Basics in Pickering for the Red Prince .....in the stupid snow too because that is forecast as starting tonight. I brought all the groceries in and what was on my deck when I returned?? My flyers! ( pulling my hair out now )

    a lazier than usual Sunday so I made fudge! Why have I never made fudge before? Maybe I thought it was only something you buy once a year at the CNE. One can of sweetened condensed milk made 3 different batches, using 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1/3 can milk in each. Slivered almonds and chopped peanuts in the first, leftover red and green Christmas
    candy decorations in the 2nd, with raisins and dried cranberries in the 3rd batch.

    I had better freeze most of these....that's way too much sweetness to have at the ready!

    Yes, @danger_dan Monday has forced its way in again, but here at least we have SUNSHINE!
    That should take the edge off the crappiest weekday for employees.
    My red Amaryllis plant is finally blooming and such a vibrant red. Looks to be 3 flowers will emerge
    but atm they are still closed.
    DS#2 and I are already " planning " our semi-joint birthday dinners out. We are separated by just 2
    days so there never seemed to be much point in doing 2 separate celebrations once he passed the
    " pin the tail on the donkey " stage. ( I'm still in that stage! lol )
    The votes were tallied and looks like we'll be visiting the Mandarin, then that will be it, no more birthdays until September. Whew!
